I am starting a new page section today with pictures from Social Media like Facebook that speak to me on some level. This one was a no brainer to me being that I am a stay at home mom and am non-stop all day. Multi-tasking seems to take on a whole new meaning at this point in my life and when I saw this picture I felt it spoke volumes as to what my life pretty much consists of on a daily basis and think many others can relate to this as well. Hope you enjoy this one and this new page section too.
A Little Binder Full of Women Humor with President Clinton…
Ok I admit I did indeed watch Tuesday night’s presidential debate and caught Mitt Romney’s comment about the ‘binder full of women’. Sorry, but who didn’t miss that comment? However, I get it was probably not the way he intended to put this thought out there, but nonetheless he did do just that.
By the way, I truly watched more out of morbid curiosity than for the fact that I really am leaning towards either candidate right about now. One of these two men have to be the lesser of two evils, but have to be honest that just am not sure what to believe anymore.
That said there is one person I do miss being president of our country and that is President Clinton. Say what you want about the man, but for some reason I was quite fond of him as world leaders go. Maybe, because my very first presidential election, when I was old enough to vote in, was his re-election year. But seriously he was also always good for a few laughs. Now I know we are not supposed to be laughing at a president, but wanting him to make a huge difference in our country’s state of affairs, but I do believe President Clinton did a descent job on that front too. But that is neither here nor there.
I just couldn’t help myself, but share the above picture with the even funnier caption, because say what you may this photo and the caption too were pretty darn funny. We all know (unless we lived under a rock) about President Clinton’s penchant for women (yes I am being as politically correct as I can be here) and this one truly goes along so nicely with that; one just cannot deny it. Mitt Romney might have made the original comment, but President Clinton being used with this captioned phrase is just comical and worth a chuckle. Hope you enjoyed as much as I did!!
Anyone who has or has ever had a 2 year can relate…
- Seriously, this is a mouthful!!!
Thank you Jerry Seinfeld, because after the day I had yesterday, this very much described both my almost 2 year old and 3 year too!! I think anyone with kids now or in the past too could sympathize with this quote.
Are You Too a Shopaholic with Books??
- This Sounds Like Me to a Tee!!!
A friend posted this on Facebook the other day and I couldn’t help feeling like a kindred soul on this one. I have more books than not that I have purchased and still haven’t gotten to the half of them yet. I love to read and seem to just not always have enough time in the day to catch up. Don’t get me wrong, I do read, but not quick enough to catch up with all of my latest purchases. Wondering if I am the only one out there who buys books even when they still have more books to read and finish still?
Daughters What They Mean To Mothers…
A few days ago I saw this picture posted on a friends Facebook wall and having daughters I of course shared this. But after the night I had last night and worrying about my older daughter, Emma who was running a fever and throwing up, this saying means more to me that one will know. Both my daughters mean more than life to me and would do anything for them. Through all the craziness, I am forever blessed to have them and for those who are mothers of daughters too I am sharing this one for you today as well.
Life Before the Computer….
- Life Before the Computer…This Says a Mouthful!!
I seriously remember when I first learned about the Internet. I was a senior in high taking a business class for credit towards graduation. My teacher showed the class on the overhead her AOL account. It seemed like something right out of the Jetsons and the future. Now over 18 years later, not only am familiar with the Internet and the computer, but rely on it for many things (probably too many to count). Yesterday alone I found myself doing countless things on my computer including working on this blog. So I just found this quote to be interesting and kind of ironic!
Pinterest Versus Video Games….
Most that know my husband, know that he is a true gamer from way back. His thought of a good time and even a way to relax and unwind after a long day is to sit in front of his big screen television and play a bit of the PS3 (Playstation 3). Sorry, but I never really did get the fascination. However, my relaxing time is sitting on my MacBook or IPad writing and being on social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and even Pinterest. So the next time, I hear my husband complain about my Internet time, this is going to be my new response!! It is totally so true and such a valid point. Just can’t deny it.
Saturdays and Weekends for Mothers..
It is another glorious Saturday morning, time to sleep in and relax. Wrong, if you are a mother like I am Mothers never get to relax or take a day off. If you are a stay at home mom like myself, sleeping in, let alone sleeping in general is a thing of the past. Why? Because just as you sit down and kick your shoes off, someone is screaming, “I want it” of “I need it”. No joke, it never fails that when I actually finally do get to sit it is truly like radar for my kids to need or want me for something.
As for weekends, my Saturday (for those who are followers) consists of me getting my kids to and fro early morning dance class. For some reason, my kids always fall off to sleep late on Friday nights and then getting them to wake early on Saturday is a nightmare and a chore unto itself. Once they are fed, dressed and ready to go to dance (which is about an hour of pure joy, not!), then we get in the car where one or both or complaining about something else. Then, we get to dance and I get to sit for 45 minutes while Lily dances, then we switch and Emma dances for an hour while again I get to wait.
And here it is another Saturday and they look so cute all dressed up in their tutus and dance shoes, but god all I want to do is crawl back under the covers and sleep. Never-mind, because I am a mom and sleep is not in the cards for me on Saturday anymore. Wish me luck and think of me, while you are relaxing on this beautiful Saturday morning.
Sorry I just couldn’t resist when a friend posted this picture on her Facebook wall yesterday, because this is truly the first thought that came to my mind!
Some 50 Shades of Grey Humor…
- 50 Shades of Grey…Couldn’t Help But Chuckle!!
Yes, I am a wife and a mom, but still not dead from the waist down. So when I heard about the 50 Shades Phenomenon, I couldn’t help but be a bit curious as to what all the hype was about. I downloaded the sample on my IPad of the first book in the trilogy and from reading the first chapter was hooked. So three books later and a week of hot and bothered days and nights, I finished the series. All-in-all the writing wasn’t wonderful, but the steamy, trashy stuff was quite addictive if I must say so (a guilty pleasure) and my husband repeatedly thanked the author of this series. So the other day, I came across this image and right away got the joke, because like I said I have been there and done that as far as the series goes!! And no I am not pregnant again, but from the punchline could see this happening to many a woman who did read the book!! Sorry, but I just couldn’t resist sharing this here!
The Road to Hell….
I have an uncle who has said on more than one occasion the quote below. When I was younger it didn’t really mean as much to me, but as a wife and a parent this saying has truly taken on a new meaning. Many days I feel exactly like this throughout the day. Even yesterday having a sick child and my husband being home from work, I felt this, especially when we had a discussion about my blog and writing personal family stuff about him and our kids. Stay tuned for that conversation with my latest blog today. But for now, I thought this one spoke volumes!!
