Do you ever read a story to your children and add your child into the action of the story?
Well, I know I do. See my girls at 4 years old and almost 3 years old, love being read to, but also love imagining that they are indeed a part of the story we are reading together.
So when I was contacted by the company Put Me in the Story to make our very own personalized book for the girls to share, I was totally all for it and knew they would love it.
I went to their website which was so very easy to navigate.
Of course, I saw Elmo, but to be honest my girls have quite outgrown the lovable, furry red monster. So, I continued to search and found the perfect book.
The book is “My Name Is Not Isabella”, which is a New York Times Best Seller all about a creative and imaginative little girl, who explores outstanding women in history to see how they indeed have changed our history.
Like I said my girls are truly creative and love to imagine that they are someone else many times, including princesses. So, this book was truly something that I felt would be a great match for them.
That is when I got to working on personalizing this book just for them. The first thing I did was add their names to the cover.
I couldn’t just put one name on this and have been trying in more recent times to teach sharing in our home, so as you can see I put both their names in the title in the above screenshot. I was so pleased that it allowed for enough characters to indeed do this (even though it is about one little girl, this is a great lesson in sharing in our home).
Then I checked out how the inside cover would look. Take a look, I think it looks perfect, but you be the judge!
Now that the cover and inner title page were complete, next up was to personalize the dedication page., which I loved being able to write my girls a beautiful note from both Kevin and I. Again, check it out!!
I also was able to add my own photo of both girls for that same dedication page and you can see my choice now!
And then I was able to even preview a bit of the story, if I wanted to. I couldn’t resist and here is a screenshot of one of the actual body pages from this very, cute clever children’s story.
When I was all done with my personalization and checking out a bit of the story, I proceeded to checkout, which was a very easy process. Once I input all my personalized data and submit my order, i received a a confirmation online and e-mail that I indeed placed my order.
Shipping was very quick and received our very own personalized book in a few short days. The girls absolutely loved it.
And by the way, if you are not happy with your purchase, they have a 30 day, money back guarantee. Put Me in the Story stands behind their wonderful product and do their utmost best to also guarantee your order will arrive error free with beautiful quality.
I can attest to this, because not a half hour I placed my order, I received another e-mail verifying that I indeed wanted both names in the cover title and throughout the story. I explained my situation and they were more then pleased to leave it the way I intended. but what great service that they did follow up to confirm this. I was really very impressed!Put Me In The Story Completed!
