It is that time of the year again and I have been tagged by my bestie, Lanaya over at Raising Reagan to do it up Christmas Style!
I was tagged last year (if you missed it click here) by Kera over a at Nugget on A Budget and had so much fun answering these questions and seriously giddy that Lanaya tagged me front he get go this time and am going to make her proud not his one. I was also tagged by Angel from Sew Crafty Angel, too.
So thanks a ton Lanaya and Angel and with out further ado, let get this party started!
The Questions:
1. What do you love the most about Christmas time?
To be honest, it is just something about this time of the year for me from the time I was a kid. It is something in the air that seems just plain magical and like anything is possible. Not only is everything all done up and decorated beautifully for the most part, but the best seems to come out of so many. The whole peace and goodwill among men theory really hits home even more during this time of the year and find that others are definitely more cheerful and jolly, too during this time of the year. Not that they shouldn’t be al year long, but at the very least during this time of the year, I know that there is still some good left and see it more often then not thankfully.
2. Do you celebrate the holiday in style or is Bah-Humbug for you?
I totally celebrate this holiday in style and all that is possible this time of the year. Even before I had kids and was young myself, I loved this time of the year, but now having children, I find it that much more fantastic and amazing during Christmas time. I look forward to it, because my kids are still young and their excitement is truly something that rubs off on me so very easily. I just get overjoyed seeing them over the moon happy at the thoughts of Christmas and Santa alike.
3. Are you leaving anything out for Santa Claus this year so he remembers to leave your presents?
We always leave Santa cookies we bake for him and hot chocolate. This year Emma has requested we make gingerbread cookies, so I see some baking definitely in my future for sure now!
4. What is the one gift you are most looking forward to GIVING? {It can be to your kids, another family member, etc – remember to be discreet if they read your blog!}
I cannot wait to see the girls faces at the Princess Sophia Vanity and Doc McStuffins Checkout Center we bought them. As well, as Emma opening up her Flutterby Fairy that she made sure to tell Santa that she wanted. Seriously, I just cannot wait to see their little smiles on Chrsitmas morning opening all their presents.
5. What is your all-time favorite Christmas movie?
I have two for two entirely different reasons. One is a comedy and the other is just a feel good old time fashioned movie.
My all time favorite comedy is still and will always be National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, because Chevy Chase and gang never cease to make me laugh. I can recite so many lines from that movie and still crack myself up watching it event year. Best meltdown scene ever is Clark W. Griswald’s in this movie. If you have never seen it, click below now to laugh as hard as I do every time I see it!
But I also have a fond place in my heart for the original Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie Wood and Maureen O’Hara, because I watched this as a small kid with both my mom and dad as a kid. I still love the part of the movie, where Santa Claus speaks Dutch to the little girl who can’t speak English and the end always makes me shed a few tears, too.
6. What is your all-time favorite Christmas song?
I just did a whole post on my favorite Christmas songs and the reasoning behind this, here.
But will say that I missed two on that list and want to add them here.
As a teen, Mariah Carey, All I Want for Christmas became a huge hit and absolutely loved hearing, as well as seeing the video for this song. Just such a feel good song that still I can’t help, but want to sing along to.
And the second, I forgot to add to my list was Bob Rivers, 12 Pains of Christmas, because this song always has me laughing by the end and seriously recalling more then a few Christmases where my dad would be at the verge of a nervous breakdown trying to figure out which light caused the whole strand to go out!
7. If given the opportunity would you participate in an “Ugly Sweater” party and what sweater would you wear? Peruse one on the internet or even in your own closet and show us!
No way, no how on this one. Sorry, but I still love fashion and looking good a bit too much to go this route and as much as I love a good party as much as the next person, so not my thing!
However, Niki over at Glossy Blonde did a post on this recently and she shared one that is so totally awesome and so wouldn’t mind wearing.
8. Have you started any Christmas traditions this year that you plan on carrying forward?
I finally bought an ornament this year with the year and our family on it again after slacking the last tow years and plan on doing this every year now so that we have one to kick off decorating our tree each year with. The kids got so excited by this and just truly helped get us starting in decorating.
Also, we just saw Frozen in the movie theatre and see this being a movie we watch each time of the year now to get us further in the mood.
9. It’s Christmas morning … what does it look like outside where you live?
Well, we live in NY and totally a crap shoot with the weather. See, we have had 60 degrees this past week, but will be 30 degrees here as the week goes on in a few days times. So, it could go either way on this I suppose. We have had years, where it is freezing, raining, snowing and even on the warmer side. You just never know, but will be keeping my eye on my Yahoo weather app as we get closer, I suppose.
10. You just found yourself standing under the mistletoe … who comes up to give you a kiss first?
Totally, Kevin on this one for sure. Even after 10 years together, we still got what it takes!!

That's so nice – your last one. I hope Kevin reads it! I was tagged in this too and I might put Des. He loves sloppy kisses. Although I'm certain Cassidy would come up to me if I were standing under mistletoe! And it would be very odd indeed if any other man did.
Scarlet is getting some great Sofia/Doc stuff too, and I totally see watching Frozen ever year before Christmas.
We were blasting the music in the car last night.
