21 Fun Rock Crafts for Kids

The latest fun kids craze, that seems to be a huge hit this year, has been rock crafts and hunts for them. Here it seems to be a fun family activity to pass the time during the summer and warmer months.

See the object of the game is for some people is only to choose to create and hide. Still others will participate in it all, which includes painting, hiding, and finding. Plus if you find a rock, you can either re-hide it or choose to keep it. Many have even taken pics to share their rock crafts finds on social media.

But the most important part of this is to have FUN!

Still I know many have returned to school now. But we still have another month off here for summer vacation. So, while looking for some rock crafts inspiration for my girls. I came across more than a few that rock crafts that were seriously awesome.

    I think the fish are my favorites. I wish I could paint like that. Great idea for all the stones that got collected over the summer… then out to the “rock garden” they go!

      Aw, Seana, I am not a wonderful painter myself, but just looks like fun. My husband though is an artist, so I am pretty sure if I put him to work the rocks would look like these at the very least šŸ˜‰

    I saw this adorable rock craft where they painted eyes on multiple rocks then glued them together it looked like a crowd of rock people. I had no idea rock crafts are so popular right now. I’m going to have to feature a few on crafty Fridays. Have a great weekend Janine šŸ™‚

    Madison and I did pet rocks about 3 years ago but there is so much you can do with rocks. I might recreate a few of these ideas. Loving them!

    We have done these with our students – I especially love the ladybugs and cactus rocks. Hehe. It’s becoming a “thing,” no?
