It is that time of the year again and if you are looking for some fun and festive holiday fun, there are plenty of places to visit all over the world.
One such place is London, where there is never a shortage of Christmas time seasonal places to get your holiday spirit on. Seriously, London is a magical place during the Christmas season.
While you are visiting you can stay in a hotel or even check out an affordable london apartment rental, if you are in the market to stick around longer.
But still for a fun holiday visit, below are some ways to enjoy the season to the fullest.
Lights For One and All
What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than taking in a lights show one evening? You can do this for free at London’s West End Christmas Lights, where the the lights are switched on early November in all the big stores on Oxford Street and Regent Street.
Holiday Gift Shopping In Style
Speaking of window shopping, who doesn’t love to shop during the holiday season? I think I can say most do and if you are indeed in the need to shop for that special someone, London has many shopping fairs also up and running during the holiday times, too. Three well-known Christmas time fairs in London are as follows: The Spirit of Christmas Fair, Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair, and South Bank Christmas Market by the London Eye.
Ice Skating At Its Finest
Another novel an idyllic way to take in a bit of Christmas in London is to go ice skating. There are quite a few outdoor ice skating rinks in the city of London that crop up from sometime in November through January, which are open later in the evenings and even have special events often running, as well. A few of the more popular ones are Somerset House Ice Skating Rink, Winter Wonderland Hyde Park and Tower of London Ice Rink.
This is just a small sampling of the seasonal ideas that you could give a whirl to if you are indeed in London during the Christmas season.
