This past June, I turned 39 (almost 40) and am beginning to get even more so conscious of my age, especially my skin and the effects that aging may be having on it.
Don’t get me wrong, I have been blessed with good genes and have been lucky so far, but still luck and good genes aside, I try to make sure that as I am getting older that I take care of my skin still.
See, I know how important it is to be conscious of taking care of my skin, because other things contribute to my skin’s overall condition, such as lifestyle, environment and even my own geographic location can further affect how my skin ages now.
Also, I cannot change where I live at this point in time and actually living in the #8 worst ranked state (New York) for being at risk for damage to my skin.
How do I know New York ranks #8 on the RoC® Wrinkle Ranking?
See RoC® Skincare has once again partnered up with independent research firm Sperling’s Best Places this year for the RoC® Wrinkle Ranking, which is a city by city look at the metropolitan areas’ risk for skin damage and premature aging by the year 2040. The analysis is based on factors commonly known to affect skin health – lifestyle, occupational and environmental influences. Upon inspection of this list, #1 is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and #50 is San Jose/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, California.
Therefore, I have further taken to trying to combat these outside factors that are at play where my own skin is concerned.
Take a look below to see my five anti-aging tricks that I use for my own skin:
1. Get a Good Night’s Sleep
But try to sleep on your back Or use smooth pillowcases to avoid sleep lines.
2. Drink Filtered/Purified Water
Don’t drink from plastic bottles or straws, but from a glass at home as pursed lips create lines around the mouth area.
3. Use SPF Sunscreen Always
Rain or shine use it as much as possible, use sunscreen with SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Make sure though to relax as much as you can when you do, because if not you could be creating more wrinkles by tensing the muscles in your jawline and even neck, too.
5. Use Daily Facial Moisturizers and Eye Cream
Make sure to us daily lotions or moisturizers and eye creams that are specifically formulated for anti-aging purposes, such as RoC® Skincare that act as a basic hydrator by allowing your skin to repair itself and even help boost new cell growth for a younger facial skin appearance.
But Why RoC® Skincare?
See RoC® Skincare has been a staple in my home, as my grandmother and mother both used this brand over the years, because it has been a leading French skincare brand for over 50 years having been devoted to developing anti-aging products that guarantee visible and lasting results for healthier skin.
Therefore, this skincare line has been considered a pioneer in visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles and has only improved over the past 25 years, as well. Both my mother and grandmother attested to this over the years and as I am heading towards 40 years old, I happily am following in their footsteps with using this brand to help from aging too quickly.
For even further help RoC® Skincare has a RETINOL CORRECTION Line that utilizes retinol, which is the “gold standard” in anti-aging skincare ingredients, because it gives years back to the look and feel of skin, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles all while working in balance with your skin’s natural renewal system to improve your overall skin tone and firmness.
While I don’t have many wrinkles just yet, I still was excited to get to use this product from them. And upon trying RETINOL CORRECTION, I could see why it is considered gold standard and am glad to report that I absolutely love this formula and could see myself using for years to come now.
To purchase RoC® Skincare, you can do so at your local Target.
