5 Unplugged Activities For Every Young Girl Out There

Filed Under: BLOG, Guest Post, parenting Tagged With: guest post, Kids with technology, Parenting Advice, Technology, Ways to get kids to unplug

Are your children losing themselves into the screens? Are they engrossed into the entertainment world so much that they have stopped listening to you? If that is the case, you need to take steps RIGHT NOW. Pulling them back and restricting them wouldn’t be a solution! The root cause of extended screen times is boredom. When kids find zero companionships, and there is a lack of fun, adventure, and entertainment for real, they start enjoying the on-screen world.

Social media is addictive in its peculiar way. It connects everyone yet creates competition among friends and family. On the contrary, every thumbs up, level up, game reward or appreciative comment triggers the release of feel-good hormones; therefore, kids continue to stick to the screens! When it comes to the grooming of a girl, it is necessary to pay attention to her personal development. Girls become shy, introverted, and depressed in no time to get their energies regulated before it is too late.

Here are five unplugged activities for every girl out there.

Do the DIYs Together

Be creative with your little girl. Girls, especially, are interested in grooming, creating, organizing, and decorating everything. You only need to encourage that creative spirit of your shy one. Provide her with all the necessary equipment to get expressive on or off the canvas. Appreciate her for every little piece of creativity she creates.

She can start recording DIY tutorials of her own that she can upload on her YouTube channel later on. The online exposure will give her a huge confidence boost; however, make sure she is enjoying the creativity lessons. If she is not an arts’ and crafts’ fan, let her be expressive in any other way.

Paid Activities

Ask her to clean up the room or wash the car or water the plants. In return, they will get paid for a good job done within a particular time frame. It will create a sense of responsibility as well as time management skills in your children. In another way, you can form a group and choose a leader among them for a bigger task. Give everyone an equal chance to lead the team. It will create leadership skills and cooperative skills in your children. Reward them in both monetary and non-monetary ways for their good efforts.

Photography

Let your girl capture every moment using her aesthetic sense. Motivate her into photography and, then, she can sell the photos on online portals too. The exposure will make your girl learn to enjoy moments more than gaining materialistic ends. Let her explore the world in her unique ways.

YouTube Tutorials

If your girl has got some fantastic skills that she can share or teach the world, why not encourage her to make a YouTube channel of her own. It will give her a confidence boost, a better sense of the world, and strength of personality. If you cannot buy her a DSLR, why not make use of Youtube camera apps that produce DSLR-level images and videos.

Hobby-Driven Course

What are her hobbies? Anything like dancing, singing, writing, art, and crafts or playing instruments! Hire a teacher and let her learn whatever she wants to master. It will give your shy little one some expression for life. Yes, hobbies are a way to express our minds and souls — emotions that are left unexpressed end up into an emotional or a physical disaster. So, it is imperative to make your child expressive and outspoken.
