Like it or not winter is coming. Most who know me, know I am not a fan of this season by far.  So, keeping my family healthy throughout this upcoming season is a priority to me.

Kids First Nature Made Vitamin C

But how do I plan on helping my gang fight off all the germs and more?

Trust me it isn’t easy keeping my family healthy. But I have an attack plan that I have used in the past. So, I am going to use much of what has worked for us before.

I bet you are wondering what strategies work to keep my family healthy during the winter months. Plus, I am sure you’d like to know to help keep your family healthy, too.

Well, read onto to find out the 5 ways to keep your family healthy below:

5 Ways to Keep Your Family Healthy This Winter

5 Ways to Keep Your Family Healthy This Winter

1. Ingest immune boosting foods/drinks.

In order to keep your family healthy, you must add more immune boosting foods and drinks into your weekly diets. These immune boosting foods include garlic, ginger, vitamin c induced foods, such as orange slices. Also, immune boosting drinks are as follows: herbal teas and fruit juices, too. For a kid friendly fun herbal tea recipe to try see HERE.

2. Take immune supporting supplements.

Even though you are adding immune boosting foods and drinks into your family’s intake, you also want to make sure that their supplements help support the immune system†. For this, I highly recommend Vitamin C Supplements for both the adults and kids in your family alike.”

Plus, I also happily found Nature Made® Vitamin C Adult Gummies in their Value Size. These adult gummies are also the 1st gummies verified by USP for purity and potency.* (*Find those Nature Made USP verified gummies on NatureMade.com/USP.)

Adult and Kids Nature Made Vitamin C

As for Nature Made® Kids First Vitamin C is only recommended for kids ages 4 and older. They are not only an easy way for kids to take supplement, but they come in great tasting natural flavors that kids love. They also have NO preservatives and are yeast and gluten FREE. So, they are a great way to start the family on a healthy, tasty routine for the upcoming winter season!

An added bonus, right now…there is 30% off all Nature Made® products with Cartwheel, while supplies last.

3. Eat less sugars.

I know this one may be harder than it even sounds. But simply put higher sugars intake levels depress and decrease immune systems greatly. So, therefore, more the sugar the bigger risk for your family to come down with many and multiple ailments throughout the colder weather months.

4. Sleep, sleep, and more sleep.

I love my sleep. But I have two little girls that share a bedroom. These two love talking to each other when they should be sleeping at bedtime. Therefore, I have taken to imposing earlier bedtimes to try to at the very least get my girls to fall asleep slightly earlier when possible. It isn’t easy, but I just stay on them as much as I can. As an adult though, I consciously do all I can to get more sleep in when my kids finally do go off for the evening, as well. Again, you never have to twist my arm to sleep!

5. Don’t overload your family schedule.

What can I say, but kids these days have more to do before and after school than ever before. Well, at least my kids do. But I have found activities for our family that in the winter don’t require participation, such as soccer for my oldest. See soccer is a Fall and spring sport. So, in the winter there is a break or hiatus from this sport. Activities, such as these are optimal to have your family involved in, because in the colder, winter months there is a downtime and at least help in giving a break from the crazy schedules that may be in the nicer weather months.

We are sometimes guilty of overloading our schedules. We have a bad habit of trying to ‘do it all’ and I know that causes stress. Thanks for the tips. ~client

I love anything by Nature Made for my whole family!
The kids get sick less and less as they get older, but my sisters and their families are still in the thick of it. It’s so rough! Des had a cold during his second week of kindergarten!
Less sugar is key. Although from now until January, that’s more challenging. Supplements to the rescue!

I agree sadly about sugar as much as I love sugar and sweets. And hope Des is feeling better now, too <3
