*I was asked to share about Put Me In the Story’s, Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition. All Opinions here are my own.
Over the years one central theme has been that my two young daughters have been enamored with Disney Princesses. So much so that they have the Disney Princess costumes and even have dressed up as them on occasions, such as Halloween.
We also have visited Disney World two years in a row with a third year on tap in the next few months. During these visits, my girls have gotten to visit with many of the Disney Princesses.
They have dined with the Princesses, as well as gotten makeovers in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. All of this has only strengthened their love of the Disney Princesses.
Plus has added to their desire to wish to be princesses in training. Therefore, I thought what better time to share ways that my girls have embraced their Disney Princess side to help all little girls do similar.
8 Simple Ways for All Young Girls to Be a Disney Princess
1. Sleep like a princess.
Princesses and little girls need their beauty sleep. Therefore, my own girls recommend getting at the very least 8 – 9 hours of sleep per night.
2. Throw a tea party.
All princesses should know how to throw a mean tea party. Whether it be for their friends or stuffed animals, tea parties are a must.
3. Be charitable.
Princesses also know how to be kind and do for others. This includes volunteering or even donating their old toys/clothes to those that are in need.
4. Master the royal wave.
Any princess knows how to wave with the best of them. Princesses though have their own special wave by curving their fingers ever so and tipping their hand by and forth while doing so.
5. Perfect your curtsy.
Just as the royal wave is a must, so too is knowing when and how to curtsy.
6. Get dressed up to party.
Princesses make sure to don their best party dresses when going out for a night on the town or even just hanging around the house watching or reading their favorite princess tales!
7. Can I have this dance?
Princesses never know when or where they will be attending a ball or gala. So, knowing how to dance is also a must.
8. Buy the book.
When all else fails, princesses are able to read Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition, which is a special edition that has a brand new cover featuring Princess Belle with book in hand by Put Me In the Story.
What can Disney Princesses in training expect from this book?
As is with all princesses, they mostly seem to dream big. Therefore, the Disney Princesses are at the ready here to DREAM BIG with your your princess!
See in Dream Big, Princess: Belle’s Special Edition, your child writes, draws, and imagines all the things they can be, led by Belle and the rest of the adventurous and independent Disney Princesses.
Furthermore as your little princess flips through the rest of the book, she’ll discover details she’s come to know and love from the original telling, such as song lyrics and additional illustrations of the Beast’s castle, Mrs. Potts, and Chip.
But how does it start?
Your princess’s journey begins with a personalized letter and Princess Passport, which she can use to check off each princess as she reads their stories.
Whether she’s comparing her bookshelf to Belle’s, putting together a restaurant menu alongside Tiana, or listing treasures she’s found on her travels like Ariel, your child will learn that being a princess is more than just wearing fancy dresses and living in a castle…it’s about being brave, honorable, kind, and hardworking.
In the end…
Your princess can match up each Disney princess with her greatest wish, then fill in a special page with their own hopes and dreams. Nothing is more powerful than writing your own story!

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. Although Madison LOVES Disney, she prefers Mickey and Minnie over the princesses any day. Those are some good tips and that’s an awesome giveaway. Good luck to those entering. We’ve seen Beauty and the Beast twice already and it’s a fantastic movie.
Janine says
Lily loves Mickey, too. But still she is a princess girl, as well. So, I get the Mickey love for sure from that, too 🙂

OK So I don’t have any kids but I was talking to my Mom about this the other day. Why do we want young girls to be princesses? Young men aren’t pushed to be princes. I would love your opinion because it kinda confuses me. Is this the message we want to send to our daughters but not our sons? Sorry, if this is bothersome but I would love to get a little insight on the subject. **I wrote this comment before reading the post, obviously, if your daughters love being princesses there is nothing wrong with that. I’m just curious to hear others opinions on the princess trend.
Janine says
Aw, Mary my girl love Disney and princesses most because of Disney. But I get your question and can say I want my girls to just grow up being happy, knowing they are loved and doing good for others, too.
Mary says
Love your response Janine 🙂 Thank you for sharing so much of your life with all of us
Janine says
Aw, always happy to share with you, Mary 😉

Janine,
My family and I love Disney and everything about it including this precious Princess’ book. We were in Disney this past January and all weekend my young adults and teens were planning on us going back this coming January. We will see! It is so hard to say NO!
We all would love to be a Princess. Your list of 8 things to be like a Princess was so cute. I loved the first one too. Why didn’t I think of it when my girls were younger?
Thanks for sharing,
Diane
Janine says
I know #1 really is my favorite, too. And think you also know we just love Disney so much, as well. We are planning on going twice this year. Once in the summer for our usual and once in the fall for a much shorter stay for our youngest’s birthday 😉
Jen says

Oh my goodness, what a great book! My daughter just turned 2 a couple of months ago, but she is obsessed with the princesses. She knows all of them by name, and can even sing a few of their songs. And this is all through books and Little People, as she’s never seen any of the movies. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are her favorites. 🙂 Thanks for offering the giveaway and for the recommendation!
Janine says
My pleasure and wish you good luck with the giveaway for your beautiful daughter, too 😉
Tamara says
Aww.. #1! While Scarlet doesn’t have her royal wave down pat, she is nothing if not charitable. So yay for that!

Yay for that indeed and know that Scarlet is most definitely an awesome princess all around, too 🙂

Love that you are going to do this yourself now!! 😉
