Alex and Ani – A New Addiction for Me…

Filed Under: affiliates, BLOG, Charms Tagged With: Alex and Ani, Charms, Shamrocks, St. Patrick's Day

I know I may have a slight problem or addiction with jewelry and specifically charms.

Most here know that I have collected Pandora and also Trollbeads, too for the last few years.

Well, recently, I was searching for something online and came across a new charm bracelet with a shamrock on it from Alex and Ani.  And yes, before I go any further, I have always loved shamrocks and what they stand for since I was a kid.

Alex and Ani Four Leaf Clover Bracelet

Alex and Ani Four Leaf Clover Bracelet

The reasoning this is as follows, because I still remember my dad telling me all about my grandmother (his mom), who was Irish and how much she loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with all it’s flair.

His stories and shares of the holiday, as well as, those little green shamrocks had my hooked early on.

See, I never really got to know my dad’s mom, because I was only 18 months old when she suddenly had a massive heart attack and passed away.  But his stories made me feel a bit closer to her and like I said also gave me a sense of pride for that part of my heritage.  Yes, I am mostly Italian, but still felt an affinity towards my Irish roots, because of this.

And then, of course, I met Kevin, who is 100% Irish and my mother-in-law also always makes a big deal about St. Patrick’s Day, which gave me a chance to celebrate this fun day in style finally.

And, now I as I said I also love my charms, all things Shamrocks and also saw this new bracelet that incorporated both, so you could probably guess what happened next!

Yes, I caved and used the little bit of money I had left from Christmas that my parents had given me as a Christmas gift on this bracelet, when I also saw that Alex and Ani was offering $5 off this month with a special code.  It normally sells for $28, but was on sale for $23.

What a perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year (it is on Monday) in my eyes and if you would like to get your own now, too, click the banner below (yes I am also proudly an affiliate marketer for Alex and Ani now, as well).

Alex & Ani's are my addiction, too. I have 22 or 23 bracelets now and I will be getting more. I love to mix & match them.

I kept seeing them on people's wrists and as you can see finally caved, but probably will have that many in no time, because of my addictive personality to all things jewelry 🙂

Well that's what Christmas money is for, right? 🙂 I think they're really nice. I haven't seen one until now.

So true Rosey and I have been seeing them all over and just tried to look they other way, because I knew I would most likely be opening Pandora's box with my jewelry and charms here, but just couldn't help myself 🙂

I’ve never seen or heard of them before. I can’t wear any jewelry unless its made of gold unfortunately for me and gold charm bracelets are so expensive. I will have to look into this for my daughter though. She loves them. I can’t wait to see the rest of your collection when you do get them.

And I can't wear yellow gold, because it leave black markings on me. So, I usually go with silver, white gold, platinum, two tone, or costume jewelry because of this. But I do hope you show to Krxssy and think she would probably love these 🙂

I love Alex & Ani and I will be headed back here to click that link in after I get the kids off to school! I have the Love This Live bracelets, which are similar, that I love and collect like crazy. I'm addicted! So happy to see you as a marketer…now I know where to come when it's time to shop for them and I'm sure you'll keep me up to date on the latest styles and deals! Love this more than you know….you have found my weakness 🙂

You just made my day, because I seriously was so excited to share this here and was hoping that others knew of this company (I have seen many wearing them) and finally decided to try them out (so happy I did) and then also got accepted into their affiliate program, which only opened up the best of Pandora's box here for me, but still I will so be sharing and be their best customer alongside you, too!! Thanks so much Sandy 🙂

    Janine,

Very Cute Bracelet! I did not know Kevin was Irish. I get asked all the time if my husband is Irish. Everyone thinks we should be called O'Roark instead of Roark. I have NO idea. I just love baking St. Patrick's Day treats.

Blessings and have a great Thursday!

Aww, thanks so much Diane and Kevin is totally 100% Irish and so proud of it. I must say I love celebrating each year with him and his family (now mine) each year since we first got together. And I too love St. Patty's Day treats. And I can see the confusion with your last name, but still love how people do assume. Wishing you a wonderful Thursday, too!! 🙂

I love the look of that bracelet! It's beautiful! Never heard of this before so thank you!

This would make a great gift for my mom who is at least 50% Irish…even has the red hair:) lol. Their family name was Moran – she married an O'Brien and one of my sisters was named Erin…it just doesn't get much more Irish than that. Every Saint Patricks day was a giant deal with stew and soda bread but no beer! Backward Irish people:)) lol

Yay! Alex and Ani is made in my state (RI), so we know them well. Also, I know the people who do their website… so buy and advertise away! 😉 I love shamrocks, too, and St. Patrick's Day is a big deal around here. Also St. Joseph's Day — we have a lot of Irish and Italians (Irish Cream zeppole are the best!). I am Scotch-Irish on both sides of my family (along with lots of other things), have family still living over there, and my son's father is almost all Irish (also a Kevin). My son refers to himself as a "Little Leprechaun," which is about right. 🙂 I think I need to get this bracelet, too!

Thanks Jessica for sharing this with me and so far I am impressed with the company, because I have done a lot of promoting of Pandora and tweeted them and such and never got anything from them. I posted this today and Alex And Ani even favorited my Tweet. So, that really made me smile that they did see my shoutout to them. We also celebrate both St. Patrick's Day and St. Joseph's Day, because I am also Irish and Italian, as well as March 19th is my mom's birthday, too. Hope you look into this bracelet and was so happy to hear from you today. Truly made me smile with your comment 🙂

I do love them though :o) Hope you are doing well girl; I miss my bloggy friends! I've been trying to blog hop a little when I can. There are just way too many great posts out there!

I love the Shamrock! My hubby's bday is St. Patty's Day and our house # is 317 so even though I'm not Irish I feel a connection to this symbol. I'm totally addicted too, which is outside the norm for me. I'm usually a ring girl and I don't normally follow trends in jewelry but there is something about these bracelets I'm in love with. I recently applied to become an affiliate for them as well but haven't heard back yet. ..

I actually had to email them! because I hadn’t heard anything from the for about a week when I applied. So, you may want to contact them if you don’t hear back right away.
