As promised from my last two previous articles discussing the book Always Eat After 7 PM, by Joel Marion, that can be found HERE and HERE, I am giving a bit of an update thus far for me.
First off, I was truly excited to see how this book could help with my weight goals, health, and even energy levels, too.
That said when I began my whole family and myself included were staying home with social distancing. So, I wondered how I would be able to keep up with all my health goals overall. Honestly, the thought of being confined to home, not being as active and the overall stress for helping to homeschool my two kids was daunting, to say the least.
Luckily, I had finished , who is a fitness expert and nutritionist debunking the myths underlying traditional dieting and offers a simple, highly effective weight loss program. See we’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal. This book not only has so far helped me maintain my healthy lifestyle but also has given me more energy to keep up with homeschooling, work, and more.
How has this been possible?
Because I also took to heart Mr. Marion’s three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods. Even with snacking, I have been making smart food swaps and eating my favorites, even ice cream!
That’s right! You read that correct ice cream. One of my new favorite ice cream recipes comes directly from Always Eat After 7 PM for Cherry Garcia Ice Cream. See this book has also inspired new recipe ideas that are good for me and my whole family (too!), such as Cherry Garcia Ice Cream.
Ice cream is known as one of the world’s most “fattening” foods. Until now.
What do you get when you combine cherries, dark chocolate, and bananas?
Well, to start with you get reduced inflammation and a hefty dose of melatonin from the cherries. Then add some iron and antioxidants from the dark chocolate and bananas to help boost heart health, lower blood pressure, lower insulin resistance, and even increase mental clarity.
All from eating ice cream.
Now you can enjoy this fat-loss friendly version of healthy ice cream any time of day—guilt-free!
When you need ice cream in a flash, but you want to stick with your clean eating diet, then this is the recipe for you. Keep frozen bananas in your freezer at all times for emergency ice cream making sessions!
Now for the actual recipe!
