Yes, you totally are!! π

Those two girls of yours are SO GOSHDARNCUTE! I love their little smiles and the sisterly bond which shines through in your photographs of them.
I hope you get to rest, relax and recover this weekend, and that you feel ready to face the next week, virus-free and with all guns blazing.
Janine Huldie says
Awe, thank you so much Lizzi and I must admit I love taking pictures of them together, because someway or another they always make me smile right along with them. Totally contagious, I suppose. And I am so with you on a better week ahead, although Kevin has it now and I am just starting to come out of this virus thing myself. Went to bed early last night once the kids did, because I just didn't have anymore energy to spare to be honest.
massholemommy says
Those chicken panini's look amazing and under $10?? That's awesome! I have been feeling run down lately, too. No one in our house has been actually sick, but I have a bad feeling something big is coming our way.

good to hear that the girls are feeling better (I recall at that age, being sick during the weekdays wasn't all that bad, but come the weekend…not fair!).
Yeah, frickin November! lol I will make an early resolution to stop complaining about the increasing cold, as even I can accept the fact that it is probably going to keep getting colder for a while. (such a clark, I know! lol)
have a good weekend you guys

I know so not a fan of November or the cold winter months here either. So you can totally complain to me all you want and will commiserate with you gladly! And wishing you a great weekend still my friend, thank you as always for just being you!! π
Michelle Liew says
Lovely, clear pics, Janine. And so fast…I remember her celebrating her b'day last year! How time flies!
My recent post Bubbles of childhood memories
Janine Huldie says
I know Michelle, so do I! Crazy how times flies and thank you for saying that. I seriously will probably have more of these types of pics for awhile since it is getting so cold out and not doing much outdoors anymore here.
Rosey says
I just had the brilliant idea to get a panini maker for hubby for Christmas. He'd love one of those!! And gracias to you for sparking the idea!
Have a great weekend!!

Happy Weekend Janine! We are just about to head out to the high school soccer playoffs. Bev's daughter is on varsity and if they win today they go to the state tournament. Foggy and 38 degrees; perfect soccer weather. LOL Have a great day.
Janine Huldie says
Wishing Bev’s daughter good luck and truly hoping they win today. We have soccer just for Emma tomorrow, because Lily is done for the Fall now. Have a great weekend and my fingers are crossed here now!! π
tamaralikecamera says
Those nasty, nasty viruses! They really do have to run their courses, huh? Cassidy is all better. Scarlet officially hasn't coughed in 48 hours (yay!). I was most worried about her because once or twice she had coughs for so long, I was terrified! Not in years, though. And Des is mostly better. I still have my remnants too. Des and I are the hold-outs. Booo!!!
My recent post I Got You Babe.
Janine Huldie says
So sorry you are still feeling 100% and my girls so have the coughs. Granted they aren’t coughing as much, but still hearing it every once in awhile. And Emma last year had the cough for almost a month after the RSV pneumonia was gone. So I know that fear well and we could totally commiserate on this for sure. Hope you all are better soon and wishing you a great weekend now, too π
tamaralikecamera says
Yes!! That's what happened to Scarlet! She had some nasty, nasty virus right when Des was born and she couldn't come to the NICU because of it. The cough lingered until her 3rd birthday well checkup and that must have been three weeks after the start. I voiced my concerns to the doctor and she put Scarlet on asthma medication (a low dose inhaler) for a week. Worked like a charm! She assured me it did NOT mean Scarlet has asthma but that they find it effective with bad coughs in otherwise healthy kids. I tell you – it never did come back and the next few times she had colds/coughs, they didn't linger. So I have my peace of mind with her, but I still do worry because of that time. I'm SO glad she's all better. I'll take that over me still being sick. (I do feel a lot better today, though. I just don't want to jinx it).
My recent post I Got You Babe.
Janine Huldie says
Emma, had to use the nebulizer fr it and this time out was old if we still had treatments we could do them with her if need be. She now seems to be more prone to the cough since that though unfortunately and totally worry (guess just my job, but still). Glad you are all doing better. And I know as much as I am doing better, I still not 100% so I am not jinxing myself either right now!!
Diane Hill Roark says
I know why you take a lot of pictures. You girls are soooooo cute even when they are not feeling well. I sure hope your family gets over the YUCK soon!!
Please post the panini soon. It really look yummy! I always need new warm sandwiches to try in the winter with soup.
Blessings, Diane Roark
Janine Huldie says
Thank you so much Diane and I love taking pictures seriously can’t get enough to be honest with my girls, because they just have that tendency to put a smile on my face even when I am having a bad day. And I promise to work on putting that recipe up for you real soon. Have a great weekend now!! π
zoe says
I may be the only fool who enjoys winter but I can live with that! OOOO poor feverish Lily! So cute! Hope everyone stays healthy and feeling great this week!
Janine Huldie says
Thank you south Zoe and I just can’t help but dislike the winter, because I hate to be cold at all costs!

I hope you're having a nice relaxing, calm weekend:). It has been SO busy lately -it's just the beginning of he season! Yikes! Get some R & R while you still can π

I know Kelly, this is truly the calm before the storm. But thank you and truly hoping you are having a wonderful, relaxing weekend now, too! π
lsdavidson says
You need to post that panini recipe – looks so good, and looks like it would appeal to the masses over here. I'm glad your girls are not seriously sick – and this may sound weird, but I like it when my kids are a *little* sick and we have to cancel activities and stay home to rest and snuggle. One of the few times they snuggle. I think your idea of saving a bit for this time of year every month is brilliant! And finally, I'm glad you got to close your computer a bit:) In the past little while I have decided to catch up on blogs only a few times a week. Sure, I miss out on some stuff, but I make sure to hit my faves and it gives me the break from the internet that I need:) Happy Weekend!
My recent post Walk the Talk: The Making of a Tradition
Janine Huldie says
Doesn’t sound crazy at all and I too love the extra snuggles. And trust me since I got sick in the last few weeks myself, I have been toying with doing a bit less at times with being online all the time, because I truly am tired and so in need of some down time and a break here.
pictimilitude says
Ya know, I didn't get to comment yesterday, but I saw the number "94" before I clicked on this post. NO WONDER you needed a break! I don't think I get 94 comments in a week! lol
I do hope you're feeling better and taking care of yourself and the girls. π HUGS and have a good weekend! I myself hope to get a post in pretty soon. π

I seriously was shocked how many comments came in on that one post alone. I love the interaction, but I admit by yesterday afternoon I was done for and just so tired. So I really am just happy it is the weekend now and nice and quiet! Happy weekend to you, too π

I am so sorry to hear that y'all are feeling well. It stinks, this time of year when the weather changes and the viruses come out to play. I won't make any comments on illness in our house as I don't want to jinx us with any more!
Once again, such sweet pictures of your beautiful girls and every time I see one with Kevin and one or both of the girls I think that the fact he is a good Daddy really shows. That is a wonderful thing!
Good for you for getting the Christmas shopping job done! I have barely started and I'm usually done by now.
Rest, relax, feel better!

Thanks Sandy and I will definitely be the first to say, Kevin the best dad to our girls. He really loves them so much and would do anything for them. So, I definitely can't ever complain in that department. As for the illnesses, we are slowly on the mend here, but just keeping my fingers crossed for no relapses now. And I am definitely thankful that I got a good jump start on the Christmas shopping where the kids are concerned π
@itsmaryspeaks says
Hi Janine! I hope your girls are all well and an Advance Happy Happy Birthday to cute little Lily! π I'm also glad that you enjoyed your week! We all need a break from the computer that's for sure! π
Janine Huldie says
Thanks so much Mary and will be honest it has been so nice to take a bit of time away from the computer, because by the end of the week I was starting to feel a bit burnt out. So been a great weekend and definitely a bit more relaxing. Hoping you too have had a wonderful weekend so far π

Thanks so much and I will say that I have my husband to thank for coming up with the idea of saving money out of every paycheck and then sitting with the girls to find out what was on their wish list. Also, the store had most everything in stock and was shocked at how easy it was to purchase all the hot items this year. Seriously two years ago, I sat on the computer tracking the hot toy on Amazon to finally get it a week before Christmas (totally cut it close on that one).

Oh my goodness, those pyjamas are adorable!! Love them! You got everything on your girls' wish list? Wow… I'd have to win the lottery to get everything that's on their lists.. When we actually put together the lists, I think I'll give them a limit of what they can put on there π
Hope all of you are feeling better soon! Have a great new week, Janine!
My recent post Week In Review – Ten Things Of Thankful (17)
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Stephanie and like I said earlier, Kevin started me two years ago doing a Christmas fund and taking money out of each paycheck. I have a separate account with all this money ready to spend at this time of the year. Seriously helps, because what precipitated this was the year that I literally was scrambling to pay off Christmas credit card bills. I vowed never to do that again. Just too stressful and seriously almost gave myself a stroke with worry. So not worth it in the least.

I LOVE the deals you can get at Kohl's!
That panini looks delish. Been thinking about making some and using the George Foreman grill, since I don't have a panini maker, nor do I want yet another appliance.
Lily reminds me of Fred Flintstone with her cold compress on her head. Hope she's feeling better!

Personally Janine I don't know how you do it! Sometimes it does catch up with us. No doubt you already have your week planned and I'm guessing being sick isn't on the list. LOL
Janine Huldie says
Thanks for saying that and no sick totally not on that list, but I definitely do need a break sometimes and this illness definitely reminded me that. Have a great week ahead, too now π
