*I was offered free samples and compensated by Basic Invite. However all options here are my own.
I literally just paid off the very last installment today for our July-Summertime vacation at Disney World.
We now have less than 2 months until July and this vacation, but it will be here before we know it.
July here though typically is a busy month for my family, as our wedding anniversary is on the 8th and our older daughter’s birthday is July 17th, plus July 4th holiday, as well. Add in a week long trip to Disney and I see this month being even more hectic than usual for us.
That said, I am trying to plan ahead for what is to come for us for June and the upcoming month of July, too.
I know it might be a bit early, but still I feel I will blink and it will be here.
That said, I know when we get back from Disney, my older daughter will be celebrating her 7th birthday with family and friends, who will give her gifts, too.
One of the lessons, I have taught both my girls over the years is to make sure to write thank you notes when they do receive presents.
So, I decided to look into pre-made thank you cards that we can send out to thank those who do remember her for birthday.
I was recently turned onto Basic Invite, which is the truly custom invitation company that allows for all sorts of customizations when sending out invites, thank you cards and more stationary wise.
What kind of customization is available at Basic Invite for Thank You Cards and more?
- Almost Unlimited Colors – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 160 different color options. So you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. This is what we feel like sets us apart from almost any other online stationery company and it what we feel is our biggest draw.
- Custom Samples – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that will allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place an order for 500 invitations.
- Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes – Basic Invite is just a colorful with their envelopes as we are with our invitations. Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of our envelopes are also peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed without having to lick each one.
So far, I mocked up one card and had a sample sent to me for my 7 year old’s possible thank you card, which includes a smiling photo of her all done up during last year’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique visit. I selected the colors, I wanted for the texts, as well as the envelope color, too with mostly pinks and purples as she is indeed a girly girl. I also, was able to decide what type of paper and how many I would want, as well.
Now, it is your turn and hope you will try Basic Invite out, as they really do offer the best and most customized stationary products for all sorts of occasions, including thank you cards, birthday, weddings, baby shower and much more.
Just take a look at some of the other stationary, they have to offer below:

Looks very convenient! It’s easier to have it this way especially if you are sending many cards or notes, without sacrificing the personal touch of your card. Lovely!
I couldn’t agree more with you, Rea and love the personalized touches more than you know, too!! 🙂

Wow, agree with all the comments. A wonderful way to stay personal, and still deal with what can be a stressful task. I love the one you mocked up – so cute!
Aw, thanks Seana and had so much fun getting to play and mock up on their site, too!! 🙂

I think that is such a great thing to teach your girls. We don’t see much of it these days, a word of thanks, and yet it is such a basic thing to do. Well done, Mom!
I’ve never been to Disneyland. I feel deprived. LOL
Aw, thank you Bill and I have to thank my own mom, who totally taught me this lesson early on. As for Disney World, wish I could take you with us, but I do promise to share this year’s updated adventures here with you still. Happy Monday once again 🙂

Whenever we throw a party I always send out personal thank you cards to those who attended. I usually just go to the store and buy them but I love having a personalized touch. I’ve never heard of this company before but now I will check them out. I have a 16th birthday party to plan in a few months.
This would be perfect for the 16th birthday party you are planning and hope you can take a better look when you can for that 😉
I am not a card guy at all, mostly because I want to get in and out of the store ASAP but if I could grab some online to have for the kids and us to write thank you notes I’d probably be better about it. Definitely would be more likely to grab something less vanilla.
Jack, you and my husband would get along perfectly as he isn’t a card guy either! 😉

What a good idea! Emma looks so beautiful in the photo! But of course, she is beautiful! July will be busy….I am planning my trip to Rochester also for a couple of weeks at the beginning of July. I booked the Auto Train….moving right along! Hope to see you Sunday. xxoo
Aw, thanks Aunt Gloria and I know the months are truly going quite quickly here and very excited though for our July trip. See you soon, too xoxo 🙂
That thank you card is adorable! Alright now I am sitting here trying to plan when I can design some! I love this and there are so many cute options. I am not really creatively gifted, so I need some help out during the process and this looks perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!
So happy to share with you and seriously hope you can try out their site soon now, too!! 🙂
I hadn’t thought of doing this. It is a great idea to pre-create thank you notes for each of my kids so they can write a little note when needed!
Thanks Kim and I truly do love being able to pre-create and use when we need thank you notes for both my girls 🙂
Janine, Basic Invite sounds cool. I’ve used one site (I will not name) exclusively for years and I’m bored with they’re sections Their options recycled each year. Eager to check out another vendor. Thanks for the recommendation!
I felt the same way, Allie and had been using another company, but kept ordering the same ones, too. So totally can relate and do hope you can check out Basic Invite very soon now, too!! 🙂
So awesome! Your July sounds wonderful and I love these thank you cars! I hope that you all have LOTS of fun celebrating all these awesome life events: anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and vacations! You’re right: that is lots of stuff happening in one month. LOL.
Sending you hugs! xox
Aw, thanks as always Cyndi and so many hugs back to you, as well right now, too!! <3 🙂

I love the idea of making a card on-line. Just yesterday, I made a special trip to the store to purchase cards. I totally understand about being busy and planning ahead this summer. We are going on vacation the end of June plus last Thursday we got a contract on our house. We will be moving July 8. In August 4 of my 5 kids have a birthday and our anniversary is August 4. Crazy summer!! I will not have time to shop for anything. This card idea is perfect.
Wow you summer sounds just as crazy if not more than ours and seriously send you all good thoughts on the move and more now, too!! <3
Scarlet will be turning seven alongside her twin, so soon! Summer hits with a bang, doesn’t it? We always need great invitations.
Aw, man I know can you believe they will be 7 so soon. Crazy!!
My mom ingrained in me at a very young age the importance of writing a thoughtful thank you card. We did personalized ones when Eve was born, but I haven’t thought to do it since. These look like some cute customized cards, thanks for sharing!
Happy to share and sounds like your mom and my mom were a lot alike in the thank you card writing 😉

Oh my HEART! That thank you card you created is absolutely PRECIOUS!! I too, have my kids write thank you notes- I think we are the few remaining parents who do Janine! BUT- many of my kids’ friends do as well, and their notes are so lovely. I think it’s such an important thing to do.
Love what you can do with customized cards! I need to look into this.
Chris, I just think it is such an important thing to instill in our kids and love that you do this, too. Hope you can check out soon, too 😉
Love this. My mom always pushed us to write thank yous, too, so I’ve always loved pretty stationery. Customized is even cooler. Thanks for the idea. I will check them out.
I love pretty stationary, too and think this also stems from my mom ingraining this in us, too 😉

Omg!! Emma’s thank you cards are perfect!! Thank you so much for sharing as we will need to send thank you cards soon as well. Love the designs!!
Thanks Nellie and hope you, too get to try Basic Invite out soon now!! 🙂
Several years ago I thought about trying to sell cards with this level of customization after getting so frustrated with limited options for several parties we were having. Obviously I never followed through on that idea. Can’t wait to check out the website, though!
I would totally buy cards from you if you did this and just got me excited thinking you would even entertain this as I know how creative you are!! 🙂
I need to order graduation thank you notes for Gwen – I will check this site out!
Awesome and they have some really beautiful layouts and designs for graduation!!
Planning a party is so expensive, these are great tips for free invites! Maria
Thanks Maria and couldn’t agree more!! 🙂
