How to Make Truly Customized Thank You Cards Using Basic Invite

Filed Under: BLOG, parenting two kids, Party Ideas, Sponsored Posts Tagged With: Basic Invite, Sponsored Post, Thank You Cards

*I was offered free samples and compensated by Basic Invite.  However all options here are my own.

I literally just paid off the very last installment today for our July-Summertime vacation at Disney World.

We now have less than 2 months until July and this vacation, but it will be here before we know it.

Isn’t magical?!

July here though typically is a busy month for my family, as our wedding anniversary is on the 8th and our older daughter’s birthday is July 17th, plus July 4th holiday, as well.  Add in a week long trip to Disney and I see this month being even more hectic than usual for us.

That said, I am trying to plan ahead for what is to come for us for June and the upcoming month of July, too.

I know it might be a bit early, but still I feel I will blink and it will be here.

That said, I know when we get back from Disney, my older daughter will be celebrating her 7th birthday with family and friends, who will give her gifts, too.

One of the lessons, I have taught both my girls over the years is to make sure to write thank you notes when they do receive presents.

So, I decided to look into pre-made thank you cards that we can send out to thank those who do remember her for birthday.

I was recently turned onto Basic Invite, which is the truly custom invitation company that allows for all sorts of customizations when sending out invites, thank you cards and more stationary wise.

Making Customized Thank You Cards and More

What kind of customization is available at Basic Invite for Thank You Cards and more?

  • Almost Unlimited Colors – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online.  Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 160 different color options.  So you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail.  This is what we feel like sets us apart from almost any other online stationery company and it what we feel is our biggest draw.
  • Custom Samples – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that will allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place an order for 500 invitations.
  • Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes – Basic Invite is just a colorful with their envelopes as we are with our invitations.  Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened.  All of our envelopes are also peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed without having to lick each one.

Thank you card mockup

So far, I mocked up one card and had a sample sent to me for my 7 year old’s possible thank you card, which includes a smiling photo of her all done up during last year’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique visit.  I selected the colors, I wanted for the texts, as well as the envelope color, too with mostly pinks and purples as she is indeed a girly girl. I also, was able to decide what type of paper and how many I would want, as well.

Now, it is your turn and hope you will try Basic Invite out, as they really do offer the best and most customized stationary products for all sorts of occasions, including thank you cards, birthday, weddings, baby shower and much more.

Looks very convenient! It’s easier to have it this way especially if you are sending many cards or notes, without sacrificing the personal touch of your card. Lovely!

I think that is such a great thing to teach your girls. We don’t see much of it these days, a word of thanks, and yet it is such a basic thing to do. Well done, Mom!

I’ve never been to Disneyland. I feel deprived. LOL

Whenever we throw a party I always send out personal thank you cards to those who attended. I usually just go to the store and buy them but I love having a personalized touch. I’ve never heard of this company before but now I will check them out. I have a 16th birthday party to plan in a few months.

    • Janine says

      May 23, 2016 at 12:02 pm

This would be perfect for the 16th birthday party you are planning and hope you can take a better look when you can for that 😉

I am not a card guy at all, mostly because I want to get in and out of the store ASAP but if I could grab some online to have for the kids and us to write thank you notes I’d probably be better about it. Definitely would be more likely to grab something less vanilla.

    • Janine says

      May 23, 2016 at 12:20 pm

Jack, you and my husband would get along perfectly as he isn’t a card guy either! 😉

    Janine,

I love the idea of making a card on-line. Just yesterday, I made a special trip to the store to purchase cards. I totally understand about being busy and planning ahead this summer. We are going on vacation the end of June plus last Thursday we got a contract on our house. We will be moving July 8. In August 4 of my 5 kids have a birthday and our anniversary is August 4. Crazy summer!! I will not have time to shop for anything. This card idea is perfect.
    Many blessings,
    Diane

      May 24, 2016 at 12:48 pm

My mom ingrained in me at a very young age the importance of writing a thoughtful thank you card. We did personalized ones when Eve was born, but I haven’t thought to do it since. These look like some cute customized cards, thanks for sharing!

Oh my HEART! That thank you card you created is absolutely PRECIOUS!! I too, have my kids write thank you notes- I think we are the few remaining parents who do Janine! BUT- many of my kids’ friends do as well, and their notes are so lovely. I think it’s such an important thing to do.

Love what you can do with customized cards! I need to look into this.

      May 24, 2016 at 12:54 pm
