Bathing Beauties–Early Summertime Fun 2011

Filed Under: Kids Posts, Writing/Blogging Tagged With: Pool, Summer, Swim, toddlers

Last week, I shared Emma’s first swim class experience here back in the summer of 2010, when I was still pregnant with Lily.

This week, I thought I would zoom ahead one year’s time and share the first summertime swim pictures of the season for both Emma and Lily.

Emma was on her way to two years old at this point and an old pro at swimming in her little kiddie pool.  She was wearing her favorite sunglasses, splashing around, running in and out of the pool and just creating her own brand of fun here.

And, Lily was right around 6 months here.  This was her first time ever to wear a bathing suit.  She tried the pool for a few minutes, but rather just hang out with mommy and nanny catching some rays.  No worries she was lathered in California Baby Sunscreen and wearing her best sunhat to keep her little fair almost bald head protected, too.

Hope you enjoyed my bathing beauties circa 2011 and if you couldn’t tell how excited I am for the warmer, pool-like weather by swim pictures two weeks in a row, well now you know!!

Please also make sure to visit these wonderful Wordless Wednesday Linkups at Pictimilitude, Nanny To Mommy and Amanda’s Books and More.

Also, please don’t forget that one lucky reader will win a Free Custom Love Coupon Book from Datevitation, worth $25.50 (5 coupons, plus free shipping).   The giveaway is open to US Only.   Enter & Follow the Rafflecopter below!

Oh thanks Corinne. Emma is pretty good actually and she even had a blast at the beach house we vacationed at last summer. So impressed by how much she loves the water and how she would stay in there all day all long if she could!! 🙂

That flowered swimsuit is way cute. I have a cute Hello Kitty suit for Summerbeth, but it doesn't get too much wear AND we usually top it with a UV rashguard, so that poor little suit never gets seen.

    • Janine Huldie says

      May 29, 2013 at 4:01 pm

Oh we too have Hello Kitty Swimsuits for this year, as well a rashguards for my younger daughter, because she is so far and burns pretty easily. Thanks Jelli!! 🙂

OMG! I can't believe how little the girls were then. I guess I've only "known" them as older, so it's strange to see them so young. But they are rocking the outfits and you're right, that sun hat is where it's at! I would totally rock that look.

    • Janine Huldie says

      May 29, 2013 at 6:06 pm

Lol, would so love to rock the sunhat and look that cute, too!! But seriously thanks so much Lisa and I see these pictures and think pretty much the same that my kids are truly growing up too quickly!!

Those are cute bathing beauties! I am ready for warmer weather and we are looking forward to going on our first beach trip of the summer today, but I wasn't prepared for it to be nearly 100 degrees yesterday. That's a bit much for June 1st! But I'm going with it today and have packed the SPF 50 and a hat!
