My family happens to love chicken noodle soup here. I mean what isn’t to love about chicken noodle soup. This is truly comfort food for the soul.
See some of my memories from my own younger days are of my own mom making me chicken noodle soup. I especially recall cooler weather or even being under the weather with my mom serving me this.
As a mom now myself, I do very much love serving chicken noodle soup to my own family. But I am also love serving easy meals at dinner time. On top of that soups are always welcome here, too. Plus casseroles are a big hit for this mom, as well as her family.
So recently, I decided to make Chicken Noodle but as a casserole dish instead for an easy dinner win.
The outcome was more the perfection. I used few simple key ingredients, such as chicken broth, veggies, milk, egg noodles and more. Plus it is topped with yummy shredded parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and butter, too. So, a new perfect family meal recipe was born.
See this recipe pairs the perfect chicken noodle soup in a perfect casserole meal. So what is not to love about Chicken Noodle Casserole?!

I love easy dinner recipes. When I’ve been out and about all day, I would prefer not to spend too much time in the kitchen, so easy meals are right up my alley. I’ll have to give this one a try.

My mom made something like this when we were kids, and at first she made tuna noodle casserole. And I yelled, “No! Chicken!”
And thus, a new favorite was born.
Janine says
Once again we are twins as I am chicken not tuna all the way, too π
Heather says
This looks yummy! At what point do you suggest adding the seasonings (Italian seasoning and s&p)? It doesn’t specify in your instructions.
Janine says
Thanks Heather. I apologize and appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I have made it quite q few times and missed that I didn’t have those ingredients explained in my recipe. I have amended the recipe to include where I have added them. For the Italian seasoning, I usually stir them in with the flour. As for the salt and pepper, it is just for taste. So, I usually sprinkle it when I mixing the noodles in to the pot and before I actually put it in the casserole dish. Hope this helps and that you make soon to enjoy π
Heather says
Thank you for responding! I know it’s a small detail, and not that big of a deal, but I know herbs can change potency a bit depending on when they are added. I noticed you updated the instructions! Thank you! (I’m assuming you added the garlic powder in with the flour and Italian seasonings as well? I forgot to ask about that one initially.) I made this tonight and it’s in the oven as I type! I’m excited to try it, it looks delicious!
Janine says
My pleasure and yes you are also correct about the garlic powder. Hope you enjoyed this tonight and truly made my evening hearing you were indeed making to eat tonight π
