Chocolate Banana Nut Oatmeal Recipe

Here is the thing; it is getting colder by the minute each day here. I finally caved and put the heat back on a little over a week ago. Also, the mornings are darker longer now. So my mornings of cold smoothies and more are over breakfast wise. Plus, mornings, in general, are rough.

I am now craving lattes and oatmeal to keep me warm. However, it is quite the time of the year just yet for this favorite oatmeal recipe of mine. But still oatmeal is the way to go for these chilly, autumn mornings.

See before I can even enjoy breakfast I put the girls on the bus for school. So, I am waiting on the corner for at least 5 minutes usually waiting on the school bus. By the time, I get back into my home I need to warm up and thaw out from the chill.

On the Cool Bus for After School Snacks

That is where this yummy and decadent Chocolate Banana Nut Oatmeal recipe comes into play. This oatmeal recipe is chock full of many differing, but equally delicious flavors, including bananas, nuts, and chocolate, too!

It is also pretty easy to make. I use rolled oats, almond milk and chia seeds for a healthier version. But still just as tasty! Plus, bananas, honey, almonds, and mini chocolate chips round this one out!

Oatmeal is one of those foods I ate a ton of as a kid, but haven’t eaten now in decades. Weird how that happens, we just forget to eat a food. Well, thanks for the reminder.

I hope you have a fabulous week ahead, Janine!

I totally get it and have a few foods that I can say similar about. Oatmeal though isn’t one of them. Although, I do admit I only eat it once it is colder out again. That said, wishing you a fabulous week ahead now once again, too šŸ™‚

As long as you use dark chocolate, you have yourself here a wonderfully healthy – even vegan! – recipe!! Yummy! When I tried out my vegan month last year, I experimented with all kinds of oatmeal concoctions. This recipe reminded me of that.
(And I’m glad it worked out to publish. I know how that can derail those morning plans when website issues don’t cooperate.)
Sending you hugs and wishing you a calm week ahead! xo

Thanks so much, Cyndi. It was a bit touch and go there for a bit. I have never done that before. But just an honest mistake as I went ahead and somehow just skipped over the write-up portion here. Thanking God it all worked out though. Never thought to go vegan with this one. But sounds like a very simple adjustment and might try that soon, as well here. Also sending more hugs back and for a calm week for you, too now xoxo

Breakfast perfection! I have friends who wait until November to turn on their heat, but I’m not going to be a hero. The heat is on! And this is my ideal warm breakfast.
