Here is the deal, I am not going to sugar coat it. Life has been absolutely crazy here. Between working full time for Wiser Sites and my kids home learning full time with remote learning, my days definitely aren’t dull. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and happy that my girls are here safe and sound at home. But chaos rules daily here this fall.
Add to the mix, my husband having eye issues in recent weeks and a three-ring circus has nothing on us. See my husband had to first have laser surgery for a torn retina. We thought it was healing and then ended up having the same retina detach. So, back to the eye doctor, he went to have more surgery. This time, full anesthesia with a minimum of two weeks’ recovery time and see life has been interesting around these parts, to say the least.
While I am not nor did I ever train to be a nurse. I am still a mother and wife, who has to now take care of my husband. For better or worse, in sickness and health – I mean it is right there in those timeless vows.

When I get stressed, I like to bake. Honestly, the thought of sweet treats in the oven calms my nerves. So, I decided to try a new cookie recipe. Because baking cookies is probably my all-time favorite treats to bake.
My husband happens to love cherries. Probably is his favorite fruit. He could eat maraschino cherries all by themselves. Plus add chocolate in for good measure and well how can you go wrong? So, I decided to make chocolate cherry cookies for him. Of course, my girls and I were also happy to help him enjoy these cookies, too.

So, how about it? Do you want to make these cookies, too?
Well, then scroll down for the easy, yet absolutely delicious recipe now.
