Nothing quite compares to the magical feeling of spending time with family during the holidays. From the hectic atmosphere of preparing a big Christmas dinner to the excitement of watching the kids open presents, Christmas is an amazing time to bond with loved ones.
But for many families, Christmas might look a little different this year. Since many people are having a safe, socially distanced Christmas with just their immediate household, it can be tough to figure out how to recreate the magical feeling of Christmas for your little ones.
Christmas games are a great way to spread holiday cheer to your whole family. From Zoom Holiday Charades with the whole family to having fun with Christmas Mayhem, keep reading for some fun holiday activities you can do with the family.
1. Holiday Charades
To play Christmas charades, divide your players into two teams — boys vs. girls, kids vs. parents, whichever you prefer! Whoever plays first will select a holiday-themed prompt and silently act it out. Whichever team guesses the prompt first will get a point!
Tip: This is a fun game that can be played on Zoom with your extended family — just make sure each household has a copy of the printables!

2. Christmas Mayhem
To play Christmas Mayhem, you pick one card from the green deck and one card from the red deck. The red card will tell you “who”, and the green card will tell you “what.” Have the player choose an “elf” helper to assist with acting out the scene. The audience will judge you based on creativity, cleverness, and acting ability!
This is a great game to get silly with your whole family — whether you’re acting out Rudolph going to the sleigh DMV or Olaf interviewing the Grinch, you’re sure to have a blast with this fun holiday game.

3. Christmas Heads Up!
Heads Up is such a classic game that many of us grew up playing. Put a holiday twist on the game with holiday-themed prompts, like the Grinch or Olaf! To play holiday charades, have the first player hold the prompt to their forehead and have the other player act out the prompt without speaking. See which team can guess their prompts first! For even more festive fun, you can use Christmas bingo templates to create a holiday-themed bingo game that everyone will enjoy.
