Title Who Doesn’t Like Chocolate? – Chuao Chocolatiers Review Plus Giveaway

Filed Under: BLOG, Giveaways, Sponsored Posts Tagged With: Chuao Chocolates, Giveaway The Mother of All Meltdowns, review

First there was wine (here) and then there was chocolate!

For those that read my blog daily, probably know all about my affiliation with The Mother Of All Meltdowns’ (MOAM) book having been a contributor to the successful book late last year.

The Mother Of All Meltdowns

The Mother Of All Meltdowns

And for those who can recall a few weeks back, I got to work with Anew Riesling Wines to review their wine for the MOAM Mother’s Day giveaway.

Well, this past week, I got another swoon worthy delivery in the form of chocolate from Chuao Chocolatier, who is the first Venezuelan chocolatier based in the US, as well as Southern California’s premier gourmet chocolate café & boutique. It was founded in 2002 by Chef Michael Antonorsi and his brother Richard, the Chuao Chocolatier is known for creatively blending ethically sourced cacao and the finest all-natural ingredients into gourmet handcrafted chocolate.

And by the way, what woman doesn’t love chocolate?

Earlier that same day, I joked with Lisa from the Golden Spoons about this when I left her a comment on her Tuesday 10 Linkup Post all about her favorite candies.  And I honestly meant it when I said that I agreed with her daughter Rachel about our shared love of chocolate.

It was like the gods smiled down on me sending me this package ironically right after having admitted my undying affection to chocolate.

And this wasn’t just any chocolate!  No, I was able to sample four different gourmet, premium chocolates from Chuao Chocolatier.

Chuao Chocolate Samples

Chuao Chocolate Samples

The four chocolates were as follows:

  • Firecracker (Sultry sea salt, smoky chipolte and popping candy exploding in dark chocolate)
  • Potato Chip (Crisp kettle cooked potato chips and a hint of sea salt mix and mingle in milk chocolate)
  • Sweet & Salty (A touch of sea salt, swirled in creamy milk chocolate)
  • Pretzel Toffee Twirl (Cruncy mini pretzels and buttery toffee dance in dark chocolate).

Kevin tried the Firecracker, because I admit I am not a huge fan of anything spicy or hot.  He absolutely loved it and ended up being his chocolate bar for the most part.

The girls tried the other three with me and I have to admit the Sweet & Salty was pretty good, but was nothing compared to the Potato Chip and The Pretzel Toffee Twirl, which we devoured and seriously couldn’t stop eating.

My girls are definitely following in mom’s footsteps with their love of all things chocolate!

How could we not love these chocolates though with them being an award-winning artisan chocolate company known for creative, culinary driven flavors?

See Chuao Chocolatiers were awarded the Silver Medal for its Rosemary Salt Caramel Bonbon in the milk chocolate caramels category at the 2013 International Chocolate Awards in London. The company also received Silver awards for its dark chocolate Salted Chocolate Crunch and Spicy Maya bars and its milk chocolate Pop Corn Pop bar during the competition’s North American judging.

As you can tell, you cannot go wrong with this chocolate and even those in the know will agree that this chocolate is one of the best in its category having indeed won accolades for their differing varieties of chocolates.

My family and I couldn’t agree more and want to say a huge thank to Chuao Chocolatiers for allowing us to sample some of your world famous chocolate and also hope that all my readers will head over to their website to take a better look at this chocolate and all their different candy bar flavor options, too now.

And last, but not least, I was humbly interviewed by Bev at Linkouture and being featuring today about my contribution to The Mother of All Meltdowns, please click here to read more now.

Seana, as I said to Bill and will totally agree with you, chocolate is most certainly a food group here. Mostly girls here inout house, too, but still my husband loves his fair share of chocolate as well, so we don't discriminate one bit on that. Hope you do check them out and seriously was so happy to share 🙂
