Dermagist Ultimate Clarifying System for Acne Prone Skin Review and Giveaway

Pimple popper!! Yes, I am guilty of popping more then my fair share of pimples on my face over the years.

Ironically, I truly didn’t have much acne as a teenager, but developed adult acne in my twenties. It seemed linked to my menstrual cycles and the birth control pill, I was on. Yes, just another thing I get to blame on PMS and hormones (real or synthetic).  Most would tell you it wasn’t that bad, but still enough to annoy me and make for interesting cover up moments for me.

When I was off the pill and even pregnant, I got very little acne. But since having both my girls and going back on the pill, I have gotten back the dreaded side effect of acne. It returned quite frankly with a vengeance. And I even have gotten yelled at often enough from Kevin that I was picking my face again. Sorry, it may be a bad habit, but I just couldn’t resist squeezing my pimples. Gross, I know, but still just still had to do this.

And of course, the pimple infected area would not only be a a bump, but quite red and inflamed, too. This would always happen when I would have somewhere to be and I learned the fine art of covering them up as best as I could, but still would have loved to not have to do this at all.

      Kristi, I didn't dry my skin out at and that really was the major problem I had with the creams the dermatologist prescribed and why I stopped using them. This was totally worth trying and loved it!! 🙂

    Well, I have read a blog about pimples….it's now time to get to work. LOL I fought pimples all through the teen years….one of the joys of late middle age is….no pimples. 🙂

      Oh thanks so much again Christy and do think stress definitely doesn't help for sure. And can tell you I really have had my fair share of pimples as I said and really hasn't been fun at all over the years!!

    You can definitely see a difference in your skin in these pictures! That's amazing! I am fortunate in that since menopause has started I don't get the breakouts anymore like I used to. It never ceased to amaze me that as a teen I never had pimples..but as a young mother, I had monthly breakouts all the time. Too bad this stuff wasn't around years ago—I'd have used it for sure!

      Marcia, you have given me hope for menopause now someday. But seriously, just so happy that it worked for me right now, because I really hate the breakouts that I get. They always seem to occur at the worst moments, too!

    I had horrible acne as a teenager! I found the pill helped, but I would still breakout around the time I got my period. But when I went off the pill, it got a million times better. It's one reason I haven't gone back on the pill (okay, it had more to do with the insane mood swings – ha!). Your face look gorgeous! Glad it worked!

      So true Dani about the mood swings and seriously as soon as I go off of the pill and am to get my period, the mood swings hit me like a ton of bricks, so I know what you mean. But I honestly have taken the good with the bad just so that I can have some peace of mind that I won't get pregnant again, because as much as I love my girls I am pretty much done now. And thank you so much for your compliment and just glad it did help me 🙂

    Your skin is looking great! I have fought acne my entire life. I am finally on some medication from the dermatologist that seems to be working for the most part. I am really looking into hormone testing to see what I can do to handle acne and other hormonal side effects more naturally.

      Lol, I so hate taking pictures of myself to begin with and must admit I also suck at the reverse camera option. So just tried to do the best I could!! Scary how well you do know me!! You should definitely enter for the scar fading cream and trust I have had my moments hurting myself trying to do something that should be simple enough, too!! xoxo 🙂

    Isn't so great when you find something that actually works! I didn't have any acne issues until in my mid 20's either. Crazy to have to worry about acne as a adult. 🙂
