Easter Bunny Footprints, Bikes and New Dresses, Too!!

Filed Under: Kids Posts, Married Life Tagged With: Bikes, Canon Camera, Easter Sunday, Memories

Easter Sunday came and went.  For a few weeks, we had prepared and as I shared even yesterday here that craziness ensued at times.  I made Peeps creations to try out the ones I wanted to use for Easter dessert (who could forget this one!!).

Finished Peeps Cake

We bought bikes (and helmets, too) for the girls from the Easter Bunny.

Happy Easter..Here Are The Bikes!!

Also, I put together baskets with all sorts of goodies for both girls.

Easter Baskets!!

And as I write this it Easter Sunday night.  I am exhausted, but the day (and the weekend, too) was a success.  Saturday, we actually took the kids to see their first movie ever with The Croods and promise to have a post up sometime this week with all the details!!

The Croods Movie!!

But for now, I am going to use this post, to share more pictures that I had promised so many last week from Easter with my girls.  A bit off topic, but definitely plays into this weekend is the fact that Kevin works for Canon USA and actually does most, if not all the banners and links for their online store. Well, he just recently worked up the new promos for their latest camera to hit the markets in the very near future called the Canon Powershot N Series.  The camera is a point and shoot camera (for more information from Canon click here), but has many special features that make it so much more, including a creative mode that allows you to take a picture, but produce not one picture from this one shot, but six different pictures.  It also has a movable screen and touch screen similar to an iPhone camera screen. Lastly, this camera can totally interface with all social medias from my understanding allowing you to upload your pictures directly instead of having to hook the camera up to the computer and then upload.

So how does this figure into Easter Day?  Well, I got to try out this brand new camera not even in stores yet to take all my pictures on this holiday.  I absolutely loved the camera and hope to get to own it in the future.  Doesn’t hurt that my husband gets a company discount and will so be using it on this camera.

Oh and by the way, the girls loved their bikes and now cannot wait for warm enough weather to ride them outside.  Unfortunately, the day started out nice and sunny in the 50s, but it got overcast and chiller as the day went on.  We had brunch at Kevin’s parents today, so by the time we did get home, we couldn’t take the girls out, because of this less then perfect weather.  On another side note, this is why I am not a fan of Easter being in March in NY, because still not really warm enough to do outside activities.

But anyways now, without further ado, I am sharing some of the pictures I captured from our Easter Sunday with the above mentioned Canon N Series Camera.  If you celebrated, I hope you had as good of a day as us.

    • Janine Huldie says

Oh I am so with you on Starbucks. Emma is 3 1/2, too and she loved it. She sat so nicely for the whole movie and was so excited. There are a few scary parts (think Disney movie scary), but she handled them very well and we were here just in case.

Um, we definitely had a different Easter Bunny in the Midwest, as we NEVER got awesome bikes for Easter. Since my parents are health nuts, our "candy" was dried apricots, prunes, and banana chips. I'm not kidding. We also got books. Although I'm in my 30s, I'm still jealous of the girls' Easter!

And P.S. I visited my parents out of town for Easter weekend. Did they have dried apricots and prunes for me? Why yes, yest they did. Fortunately, they had candy for my husband, so I was able to sneak some real food!

    • Janine Huldie says

      April 2, 2013 at 4:08 am

Lol, no we did have cast around here, but not awesome gifts like bikes either. The Easter Bunny really has come a long way, lol!!

Oh my gosh I want this camera!!! I just went and looked it up and told my husband i want it for Mother's Day if it's going to be out by then!! I just want the social maedia capability! It's nice to not have to hook up to a compute! I know your post wasn't about the camera;) I'm just excited!!

I love that you made the Easter gifts practical and not random stuff that gets tossed! I decided to do the same and make the baskets their summer baskets. Every year they get new swim trunks and a new beach towel and goggles. So, why not do it in Spring? They LOVED their "Summer at the Beach" baskets!
