Spring is finally upon us as far as the actual calendar is concerned. This upcoming weekend is Easter Sunday for all Christians. We are truly not all that religious. Well, I was raised Catholic and did go to Catholic school and Kevin was raised Irish/Catholic going to church every weekend, but somehow together we are not the type to go to church every Sunday, but we do have our beliefs.
Our families did raise us to celebrate the major religious holidays and Easter is definitely high up on that list. With two little kids though, we have made more about the Easter Bunny and much less about religious aspects right now.
My girls, of course, have gotten easter baskets, treats and have even dressed up to celebrate the days with our families. So this being another Wednesday and featuring more flashback photos, I thought this week it was only appropriate to share with you some photos from past Easters with the girls. So sit back once again and enjoy!!
Above was the very first Easter that we celebrated with Emma. She wasn’t more than 9 months old at the time and couldn’t resist that flower laden hat, because Emma was pretty much bald and was also just too excited to dress her up from head to toe!! The basket picture was from her grandparents and couldn’t locate our basket pictures for some reason. And by the way, Lily was in the second picture, but was only weeks old (hint I was newly pregnant with her!!).
And then there were two. This was Emma’s second Easter and Lily’s first. “The Easter Bunny” had a field day with stuffing their baskets. And yes I still carried over the dress up theme for both girls now!!
Last year, I know I had separate pictures of each of the girls at some point, but for the most part the two were inseparable by this point and the pictures I had were of the two of them together were by far the best. And yes I started the trend last year of dressing them in the same exact dresses. So, I guess I played into the twins question a bit, but then again you can clearly see that Emma is a bit taller then Lily here. And the baskets were once again over flowing!!
Well, Happy almost Easter to all if you do celebrate. Have a wonderful holiday and be sure to check out my 1 Snap a Day Picture this Sunday, where I am sure to post up the latest Easter picture/s of the girls!! For more Easter fun filled activities, click here.

They are so adorable. I love the matching dresses so colorful . I had all boys, so while they were cute in their little suits I so missed having a girl to fluff up and get all frilly and girly with.

Thanks Angel and I am not going to lie I love having girls for the dressing up part. Yes, I loved dressing up as a kid and there is something so fun about dressing up two little girls (when they don't fight me on it, lol!!).

Great pics! Easter is a great holiday for kids…..but, if you aren't religious and have no little kids, it's just another Sunday. 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Bill and so true. Kevin and I were both raised Roman Catholic, so we both are big on celebrating this day with our girls!! 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Kelly and I too love making up the baskets, plus the extra candy in the house doesn't hurt, lol!! Hope you have a very, Happy Easter this year!! 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Lol, I don't think we ever outgrow the candy. Seriously, if it is in my house I want to eat it all!! You should totally do a flashback post for Easter and would love to see your girls, Heather 🙂 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Awesome and seriously can't wait to see it, Heather!! 🙂
Lanaya @ Raising Rea says
OMG … you are going to die! Reagan has the same Easter basket … right down to the pink polka dots and green writing…She also has the other Easter basket … except hers is a butterfly.
We must have both gotten them from Personalized Creations or something like that. I got mine last year. I am putting her basket together tonight for my Thursday post 🙂 So funny!!!

Thanks so much Stephanie and I remember hearing my grandmother talk of how she loved to take photos all the time when she was first married and then when she first had my mom.
