Exciting week around here!
For starters, we have Emma’s Kindergarten School Star Week.
See in kindergarten in our school each kid gets their own special week to celebrate and be the student of the week.
Emma had to make a poster board to bring to school that displayed all things about Emma, including her family and favorite things.
So, we worked on that this past weekend, in between getting our game night on (which oh so much fun) and also paying a trip to urgent care one more time for good measure having Emma falling Saturday morning, where we thought she may have broken her nose (so not fun). But thankfully she didn’t, just more of a scare for Kevin and myself, as well as more crazy times here, too.
What can I say never a dull moment – Star Student Week Included!
To that end, not only do we have Emma’s Star Week, where on Friday at the end to culminate her week, we (her family) get to go in to celebrate and party with her teacher and classmates, but we have Lily’s school Harvest Feast that same evening, Lily’s school friend’s karate birthday party Saturday afternoon, a family wedding Saturday night and to cap off the weekend Lily turns 4 on Sunday with a gymnastics party in the afternoon.
And that my friends is just through the end of the weekend and doesn’t count Emma’s school Thanksgiving day 2 day feast the following week, plus her Daisy trip, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, too.
So, truly a whirlwind around here for the next two weeks.
And if that wasn’t enough, it is time for Wonderful Wednesday with a huge 100 post celebration this week, as well!
Seriously, I am so excited and just can’t hide it! (Apparently the Pointer Sisters have nothing on me!).
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your joyful participation. This is one of many online events where friendships are born.

Kelly L McKenzie says
You are so very blessed Janine. truly. Why? You got to be a part of the Star Week process. Me? Not so much. Grinning over the timing as my recent post is all about the answers my then 4 year old son gave about his family – and his dear mother in particular.
Amber says
That board is too cute! My daughter would have wanted Frozen stuff too. She loves all things Frozen.
Rea says
That is such a great idea for Kindergarten! It helps boost the student’s personality and be acknowledged for who they are. Looks like a whirlwind week for you and just so glad to know is Emma is fine after having that fall.
The Pinterested Parent says
Awww. Emma is a little star. Her board was so sweet. I especially love the Elsa & Anna sisters on there. Incidentally, I keep forgetting to tell you that I like your new format. I know you changed your page a little bit ago, but I kept forgetting to mention it.
Brittnei says
I remember we had something called Student of the Week, but this sounds like a cute idea for the kids, too. It sort of reminds me of show and tell about themselves and their family which is nice. You definitely do sound like you have the busiest two weeks ever coming up. I hope you enjoy it and catch a moment to smell the roses. π
Catherine Gacad says
