Yes! It wasn’t long before Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party came back at the Magic Kingdom. Last year was fun, but Not So Scary is one of the best events of the year at Magic Kingdom. Disney has really changed things with their events lately, so it remains to be seen how much this after-hours ticketed event will live up to the old days. The food festivals at EPCOT have been adding dates but offering fewer activities than they used to. Hopefully, that doesn’t spill over into how the after-hour holiday parties continue in 2022 and in the future. I would love for all the perks of the event’s former glory to be there for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2022.
We won’t know everything about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2022 until we get a little bit closer to the dates. However, there is quite a bit that we already do know and some big changes we are looking forward to later this fall.

The Dates and Ticket Prices
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off after hours on August 12 and continues on select nights until October 31. All parties in August are on Fridays and Tuesdays (8/12; 8/16; 8/19; 8/23; 8/26; 8/30) These dates all have a separate admission price of $109 except on 8/12, opening night. The first night of the event is priced at $139. Admission for children ages 3-9 is $10 less on every date of the event.
There are 13 dates in September. The First week has Friday only (9/2). The second week has Monday and Friday (9/5 and 9/9). Then the event takes place on Sunday (9/11), Tuesday (9/13), and Friday (9/16). The cycle repeats on 9/18; 9/20; and 9/23 the following week. In the last week of September, the ticket price jumps back up to $139. The month begins with a $109 price per ticket and goes up to $119 from 9/9 to 9/20. The last week of September has dates on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
October has 19 dates. The Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday-Friday pattern continues except on Monday, October 10, which is in place of Sunday, October 9. Pricing increases throughout the month starting at $139 and ending on Monday, October 31 at $199 per ticket. Fridays throughout the month and on Sunday, October 30 will cost $179 per person to attend.
As usual, the most expensive nights are also the busiest. So if you are looking to take advantage of lower after-hours attendance to ride the attractions, Target the cheaper dates if you can.
The party starts at 7:00 pm and ends at Midnight, but you can arrive three hours early and experience the park during regular operating hours, then stay for the after-hours fun.
The Classics at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2022
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular is back with the Sanderson Sisters and appearances from Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and more. The Boo to You Parade also returns. The parade includes representation of most of the lands in Magic Kingdom. The Ghosts of the Haunted Mansion, the Pirates of Adventureland, and Frontierland get a hoe-down segment hosted by Clarabelle. The Villains of Fantasyland make up the finale, and you can’t forget about Mickey and friends in their Halloween best.

Another returning favorite, the Cadaver Dan’s is a little bit different this year. For 2022 the Dans will don western wear and sing their “harm-onies” in Frontierland. The “barbarous-shop quartet” (These are straight from the website folks) also banters with the crowd for laughs.
The Not So Spooky Spectacular is back, transforming the castle into a haunted house and bringing ghouls and skeletons to life with Mesmerizing effects. Jack Skellington leads this laser and light spectacular that features fireworks, 3D projections, and live entertainment.
Attraction Updates at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2022
Unfortunately, Pirates of the Caribbean will not come back this year with its special Halloween twist. However, that doesn’t mean none of the other attractions are dressing up for the occasion. There will be special Halloween versions of The Mad Tea Party, Space Mountain, and the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. There are also 21 other attractions scheduled to be in operation during the events.
The Mad Tea Party will feature special lighting, fog, and new music, While Space Mountain will have no lights at all… and new music. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is also going to have special Halloween-themed jokes during the event.
