This past weekend, we celebrated Father’s Day with this being Kevin’s 4th Father’s Day. Emma wasn’t born until July 17th, 2009 and will be 4 years old in a few short weeks, but she was still very much alive and in our hearts and minds already the month before her birth. So, I do count that first Father’s Day as technically his very first.
Back then, we were so very anxious to be first time parents and just couldn’t wait to have her. I remember Kevin calling me each day from work in the weeks before I had her to see if I was experiencing any labor signs. He would say, “Anything yet? Doesn’t she know how much I want to meet her already?”
Well, finally she did and was born at 10:31 PM after almost 14 hours of labor. Here is the first time proud daddy held Emma!
Below is Emma and Kevin in the Winter of 2010. I love this picture, because they have the exact same expressions on their face at the exact moment the picture was snapped. And Emma really looks so much like Kevin here. She is like mini-me and his clone!!
Recently, in another Flashback Wednesday feature, I shared photos of Emma and Kevin from Daddy and Me swim class, here. This picture was taken right before we had left for the first class and loved how happy they both were smiling ear to ear!
The next picture was proud daddy Kevin holding his second baby girl for the first time right after Lily was born on November 23rd, 2010 at 3:51 PM. She came into this world in a flash and took both our hearts by storm!!
Here is Kevin holding Lily days after her birth. Kevin was talking to her and Lily was following his every word very attentively!!
Around the same time as the above picture, Kevin with his both his girls. He was really just in 7th heaven being a daddy to two beautiful little girls!!
Here is Kevin hanging out with Lily while watching the Giants Game in the Fall of 2011. They were having an in depth conversation. I am betting it wasn’t sports related though!!
And next up is a picture of Kevin and the girls from Easter 2012, where yes I dressed them in the same adorable dresses, because I just couldn’t resist!!
Last, but not least was this past Father’s Day, where we slept in a bit (yes I actually slept past 8 am!). And then while I was making chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast (for the original recipe click here), Kevin and the girls were playing Epic Mickey on Playstation 3. Kevin is a gamer from way back and the fact that his girls are enjoying playing with him is only making him so very proud. I took a snapshot and just had to share!!
Epic Mickey Video Game Playing!!Well, I hope you enjoyed these Father’s Day inspired pictures down memory lane. And Happy Belated Father’s Day to Kevin and all the wonderful fathers out there. I hope you all had only the best day possible!!
And I am linking this up this week with Nanny To Mommy, Pictimilitude, Judy H-J’s Thoughts and Amanda’s Books And More, too.

These are fabulous pictures of Kevin and your girls! He looks so young in that first picture of him and newborn Emma. You can tell that both girls truly adore their daddy and that he adores them just as much. You know, some men are just cut out to be daddies of little girls…and I think that both Kevin and my hubby RJ are those kind of men! It's a special bond 🙂
