Finally January is over and today is the first day of a new month. It is indeed February 1st. Can’t say I am sorry to see January go (never was my favorite month), because between the cold and snow I say good riddance.
February isn’t much better weather wise, but at the very least it is a short month and Valentine’s Day is smack in the middle of it. I will admit Valentine’s Day hasn’t always been a favorite and hope to share more of why in the past it wasn’t soon, but for now I will just say it is my Saturday Thankful Things Post and trying to stay as positive here today as I can.
With that said, I wanted to share with you as always, my 10 Things of Thankful for this past week.
So sit back and enjoy.
1. After a long week of having Monday off and then snow keeping the kids home for 2 more days, I finally caught up on some blogging work.
2. Finished up a another Goodreads recommendation with Reconstructing Amelia, by Kimberly McCreight, which I being reviewing shortly on my blog.
3. More wardrobe playing with Le Tote and total selfie photo fun that I had doing this!
4. Winning three different blog giveaways recently with Lanaya, Amanda and Jennifer, too.
5. Reviewing RAVPower, which seriously is the best way to charge mobile devices since sliced bread. Review will follow soon, I promise!
6. After deleting my whole FTSF post for this week in an iPad note still pulling it together and getting my post up in time.
7. More nail fun. What can I say? Totally addicted!
8. Ginny from Lemon Drop Pie awarding me the Slice of Pie Award on her blog. I am so overjoyed that we have become friends and gotten to know each other better from our shared experience of contributing to The Mother of All Meltdowns’ Book. Thank you again my friend!!
9. The Nut Job movie app that was offered to me for my girls fro free. Seriously sometimes this gig really does have some major perks for myself and my kids included. Not going to lie, but just be grateful for such times.
10. The whole entire Frozen movie that was actually posted online before it has been even released on DVD. Thanks to Lanaya posting about it on Instagram. Lily says, “It’s happy puddle day!” to Olaf when he is singing about what summer will do for him instead of him being a happy snowman!
A side note by the way, I am on Instagram here and my hashtag to follow me is @jnine0712. Most of the photos above were indeed posted on there and trying to make an conscious effort for 2014 (one of my goals for the new year) to use Instagram more then ever and hope you will follow me over there if you haven’t already!*

I'm AMAZED at how many different effects you manage to make on your nails. Is it the polish or something you do? I'm blown away. I'm just SO bad at doing girlie things like painting nails, and just have very little understanding of that kind of thing.
I LOVE your photos of the girls, as ever, and am so excited about the pen-pals thing. I'll show Niece next time she's over, and she can see what Emma and Lily look like – she'll love that.

I use just a base coat and then glitter polish that is clear, but with the glitter beads in it. Totally fun and I am too girly for my own good! And the award was for being a great friend on her blog. Totally just happy to and love all my blogging friends. Hope you show your niece their pics and seriously love that they are pen pals 🙂

Oh Janine! I actually sat out from TTOT post! I feel terrible about it, but I've had a tough week and it felt so busy. Last night I was sitting at the computer and my head was hurting. I got off and just relaxed and it stopped! So today I said I would try to stay off most of the day and relax with my family and hubby was home today so it felt good. Now that I've napped, I'm catching up with my favorites. I need to see if I can be on track with coming up with a post for next week for FTSF too this coming week! Your list is amazing! I can understand what you are saying about January…completely! You know I do! Love you manicured nails! Lily and Emma always look like twins and I love that. If I have another boy, I totally want them to be like that 🙂

I totally understand what you were feeling and being pregnant never helps with being tired (I remember all too well). I too was exhausted though myself last night and even fell asleep just watching TV. Glad you are feeling better today. And I love that my girls are so close that they truly could be twins and hope that you have two little boys just as close 🙂

Just was reading for a bit tonight again and seriously loving it. As for Le Tote, I love them and just got my second box at the end of the week. So I say go for it and work with them, you won’t regret it. And also hope my girls won’t grow up too quickly like your Nikki 🙂

Lisa, my girls absolutely loved Frozen and still talk about it daily. I have the music on my iPad, which they request to hear pretty often and now my brother even got them a bootleg, so they also watch that pretty often on our DVD player quite often too now. We are suppose to get more snow tomorrow, but today is beautiful and even warm (almost 50 degrees). Kind of the calm before the storm. I just got my second Le Tote box and one of the hisrts was absolutely something I would never wear this time out, so as much as loved what I got so far that kind of bummed me out, too.
