Having gone down a bit of memory lane with my photos and starting this series of Flashback Wordless Wednesdays, I had to include our wedding. I might have done this a bit backwards with showing our honeymoon last week, but I needed some cold weather inspiration. Therefore, the Bahamas was a necessity at that point.
But this week, as we are leading up to Valentine’s Day, I thought I would show you one of the most romantic days of my life, even if it was not necessarily in February just yet. On July 8, 2006, Kevin and I said, “I do” and will be coming up on our 7th wedding anniversary this year.
Sit back now and take a quick stroll down memory lane with a few photos from our actual wedding day. These are from before, during and right after the ceremony.
The above was one of my favorite photos, of my groom, who was just so casually waiting for my arrival at the church that day. Wasn’t he so handsome??
This was the moment I had been waiting for since I was a little girl. I admit that I was as bad as my own daughters, who want to be Cinderella and live happily ever after. I dreamed of my wedding day as a kid and couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle. So, I was truly on cloud nine, not only this whole day, but this moment in particular. We Did It!!
I absolutely love this photo. It was taken right after the mass was over. We were just married for only a few short minutes, but had already kissed about a dozen times for the camera man. This one though, I will never forget, because it was as if the world stood still for a few short moments while we kissed outside the church. The camera man got an awesome shot of it and loved the effect he put on it, as well.
Well, please stay tuned for next week, when I show more from our special day with some more pictures from the actual party/reception as we are indeed heading to Valentine’s Day.
Also, don’t forget to check out my awesome friend, Cyndi’s blog, Pictimilitude, who started this concept of Wordless or Word-ful Wednesdays.
More shameless begging for the Circle of Mom’s Contest, which runs through February 13th. Please click the button below or the one on my sidebar to vote for me their as well.
