Sometimes the best pictures you take are in the total spur of the moment. It was Emma’s first 4th of July, back in July 2010. She was not as I have shared before always the happiest of babies. In order to get her to eat, we used to sometimes give her different things to hold in her hands to keep her occupied.
My mom actually ran out of things to give her one day and handed Emma her wooden mixing spoons. It was love at first sight with Emma and these spoons became her drum sticks that she would beat and use to make all sorts of noises while sitting in her high chair, while we fed her.
Well, it was indeed the Fourth of July and I had bought her this cute, but large bow clip that could be worn on an elastic headband. Emma (as most of my followers already know) was bald, so she definitely needed it worn on the headband.
But Emma truly didn’t want to wear it and I so longed to get one good picture of her wearing it and was determined. I handed her the mixing spoons and the rest was history in the making. Enjoy!!
