(A side note to all, as you are reading and linking up tonight, I am at Disney’s Frozen on Ice with the girls and our family. So, if I am not as present, you will know why, but again looks like Frozen wins out once again!)
Last week, the weather was anything but Frozen or Fall like even.
We had 75 degrees and quite frankly humid.
It was quite bizarre with the end of October and Halloween looming, but Thursday night, Halloween Eve, the temperatures began to dip and by Halloween Day we barely reached 50 under cloudy, overcast skies.
Not much wind, but still chilly enough that if you were going to go the distance trick-or-treating, you would need to layer and dress for it.
So, my two Frozen Princesses did just that wearing Frozen Elsa hats, their Elsa (yes both were Elsa and not one Anna in sight!) dresses and their little pink furry jackets, too to keep warm.
All-in-all, we had a great time trick-or-treating with friends and neighbors outlasting the colder temperatures to get more then their fair share of treats even as Lily gave up to wheeled around in our neighbor’s wagon doing her best queen (royalty) impression, while I took over her treat bag!
And yes the candy haul at the end was amazing. So, much so that as I proclaimed here last week, I am still a kid at heart with trick-or-treating and definitely have eaten my fair share of the kid’s candy stock pile, because no sense it having all those sweet chocolately and heavenly sugar laden goodies go to waste!
And now it is November. Tonight, we (as I shared above) are seeing Disney Frozen on Ice (yup Frozen is the gift that keeps on completely giving here!). Lily’s birthday is on the horizon, Thanksgiving, too, as well as Christmas and the holiday season quickly approaching (I entered out local dollar tree on November 1st – not a sign of Halloween left, but Christmas galore).
So, as Olaf says, “All good things!”

I just dropped by to wish you a nice evening, Janine. As for the weather, we have had enough rain in the past two weeks to last us all winter…unfortunately, I doubt it will stop anytime soon. 🙂

I am sooo jealous Janine because I want to go and see Frozen on Ice. I saw the Lion King when I was there in NY in May but I think this is one I would love to see with Madison. Your Elsa’s are beautiful as usual and we had fun here as well in our Minnie Mouse outfit which she picked out. 🙂

Looks like you had a great Halloween! My 3yo son was Spider-Man, which I think may have been the Frozen costume equivalent for little boys. Look forward to reading more about you and your sweet family.

lisacng @ expandng.com says
How cute, they are both Elsa! I have been good and not eaten any of J’s candy. Not to say I don’t have a small stash in my office ;). Glad they had fun!
The Pinterested Parent says
I can remember being a little girl & being so mad at my mother for making me wear my jacket. Fast forward 3o something years later & I am chasing my daughter around the house trying to put a coat on her before trick or treat. It was chilly here too. The girls looked great.
Brittnei says
Your princesses are always so adorable. How cute is it that they had those frozen hats to keep them warm. It’s so funny hearing about the weather being hotter and a little humid. I remember a few years ago that Oct 31st when it actually snowed. 🙂
Ginny Marie says
Let me tell you, I just love that picture of Lily in the kitchen with her tights! It’s just such a picture of how life really is. 🙂

There were so many elsa’s on Halloween and I didn’t see a single Anna. The girls said it was because she had no snow powers. Hmmm. Hope you enjoyed Frozen on Ice.
