Greet the New Neighbors the Social-Distancing Way

Filed Under: BLOG, printable Tagged With: Pandemic Advice, Printables

Wondering how you can be inviting and warm to new neighbors during the pandemic? Even though we’re living in a time of social distancing and wearing masks, there are still some welcoming ways that you can greet and meet the newcomers in your neighborhood and set a good example for your children.

Sweet and Simple Ideas

Keep it simple by dropping off a letter at their door that introduces your family and others in the neighborhood. Add a list of your favorite places to order takeout and sights to see. If the newbies have children, get your kids involved by putting together an activity kit that includes supplies for a kid-friendly craft with instructions.

Food delivery is another way to let your new neighbors know that you care and are thinking about them. Deliver a gift basket filled with cheese, crackers, and wine. Or DIY and make a batch of chocolate cookies or cinnamon muffins with your kids. Everyone loves to open their door to a sweet treat!

Practicing social distancing, you can still be a good neighbor by smiling and waving across the street.
