Happy Birthday To Me Flashback Style!!!

Yesterday, as most know I celebrated my 36th birthday and still cannot believe I only have 4 years until I turn 40 years old. Seriously not sure where the time went, but I got a bit nostalgic and went through some of my mom’s old photos this past weekend. But before getting into further details, i would suggest you to check these happy 20th birthday wishes in case you want to wish someone on their 20th birthday.

I know it isn’t Wednesday yet, but I am posting up my flashback wordless post a day early, because I have a huge giveaway surprise that I am running tomorrow.  So be sure to stop on by tomorrow to join in that fun.

But today, in honor of my birthday, for my flashback photos, I decided what better way to celebrate my day (yes a day late) and Flashback Wednesday (a day early) with photos of me as a baby and small child.  My mom has a ton of pictures, but they are buried in a closet.  These were at least accessible and happy to be to share.

So sit back and enjoy a few photos from my younger years.  Please take a trip with me back in time now!!

This was actually taken at my christening in September of 1977 and I was just about 3 months old here.  I love seeing how happy and young my parents are here.  Truly puts a smile on my face.

Here I am at a little over 2 years old, my mom said this was actually my Christmas picture that year.  They tried to take me to get professional pictures done, but I got sick.  So my dad set up his photographer’s screen, put my Sesame Street Blanket over it and this was the picture that resulted.

And next up, this was my 5th birthday family party at my great-grandfather’s house.  I will never forget those birthday crowns and how huge they were when I was kid.  I had one for each birthday until I think I was about 7 or 8 years old, along with a candy corsage, which was also a huge deal back then.

And Last, but certainly not least, actually occurred yesterday. We have come full circle and even though it was indeed my 36th birthday, I got to share it will my Emma girl, who had here summer birthday (July 17th) celebrated in pre-school since summer vacation starts at the end of the week. We brought in mini cupcakes with mom, dad and Lily being able to join in the fun. Let’s not forget, Kevin finally got his ice cream cake later that nice in the form of my birthday cake!

      Erin, everyone used to tell me that I looked just like my mom growing up and she looked like my grandfather. So, I knew without a doubt neither of us was adopted, lol!! But seriously, loved sharing these and it was fun to be able to go through some of our older pictures!! 🙂

    I agree with everyone else, Emma looks just like you did as a kid! Dino looks like my dad as a kid…creepy!

    Anyway, I love the 70's photos…all those hipster dads with their staches and moms with their flips…brings back such memories. You are right, it comes full circle. And one day, your Emma will be celebrating her own daughter's birthday….*tear drops*

      I know what you mean about the 70's styles and such. Definitely was a trip looking back and seeing how we all looked. I couldn't help, but see how we though have definitely come full circle. And definite tear when it comes to that point of it being my own grandkids someday!! Thanks as always Karen 🙂

      Oh thank you Ruchira and we have always heard how much my mom and I looked like, because it just is so true. And thank you about Lily. She is on medicine now and hoping that tomorrow she will at least be feeling a bit better.

        Lol! I agree that she looks like Kevin too, but I also see some of you in Emma also! It's fun to see how your kids change as they grow too. Sofia still looks more like me than RJ, but when she was born everyone said how much she looked like me. Now it's more half/half and she definitely has RJ's personality!!

      Melissa, a candy corsage is a corsage that instead of flowers has candy on it and usually had the number of candy representing your age, plus one for good luck. They were awesome and seriously not sure why they don't make them anymore. And thank you as always!! 🙂
