Have fun together!!  This is what Kevin and I have needed more of lately.

After another successful weekend off and about with my family, that I am happy to report that I am now taking so much more advantage of. We did indeed have some much needed fun indeed together as family.

However, I know I have complained on here that we just don’t seem to have enough hours in the day many times to do this with just Kevin and I alone.  I mean when you are married with kids, working long hours out of the home (Kevin) or blogging (me), starting up a new company and so much more, sometimes the one person you want to spend more time with is the one you can’t seem to do just that with.

I will admit, since I have been blogging I have even less time alone with just Kevin.  I have tried in more recents times to take the weekends off from the blogging world and online more or less (as I just stated above).  Because, yes I am guilty of being plugged in more often then I probably should during the week.

The first weekend, I actually took off and we went to dinner just the two of us, felt amazing.  It made me realize I need to do this much more often.  So, now like I mentioned that is what I have started to implement for my weekends, as much as possible. But, Kevin and I still have to take advantage of those rare quiet moments for just the two of us (believe me this sounds easier said then done!).

    I really like the idea of taking the weekend off your blog. I too spend way to much time on the internet, whether it's blogging, Facebook, Google+ or Twitter and now Hubpages.

    My husband's work schedule is not a normal M-F, 9-5 type job. So I will have to arrange my "days off" from blogging to coincide with his days off. Oh and his name is Kevin too. 🙂

    Datevitation sounds like a really cool site. I love coupon books. I've created several for him when we first got married. He loved them.

    So cute – my son gave my husband coupons for his birthday, but they didn't have these cute illustrations. I'm not going to tell you which ones are my favorites, but let's just say they made me blush a little 🙂

    Those coupons are adorable. I've given my husband home made ones before (for a free football Sunday where he gets the afternoon alone without me and my son). And I am so glad that you had a dinner out alone with Kevin. Sounds awesome!

    i love these! I think it is such a creative way to make what could be somewhat of a tacky gift into a really cool one. I only say tacky for the benefit of other people. Me personally, I love to get and give coupon books, cause I am broke but I can make you dinner! 🙂

    What a great idea! I was just lamenting this very thing- this week is FULL of activities, and I am stressing about how to get all my blogging in and actually spend time with my husband. My parents arrive in a few days, so I am hoping we can catch dinner and a movie this weekend! I have to remember not to take it for granted…

      Oh so true Stephanie and have to be honest am actually toying with the notion of not posting next Monday, because it Memorial Day and Kevin is home. So, believe me I keep reminding myself that I need to give my family the extra TLC and a holiday weekend I think may be the perfect time!! 🙂
