I know I have said it before here. But seriously summer means barbecues, outdoor grilling, eating and entertaining. One of my family’s all-time favorite summer time food is corn on the cob.
I have made corn on the cob on the grill or even boiled on a hot stove top. Yet, both methods take some time. Grilling usually requires that I prepare it beforehand with butter and seasoning. Plus on the stove top, finds me having to heat a hot stove top burner. Which only adds to the summer time heat and steam.
So now that I finally have an instant pot or pressure cooker this summer, I finally made corn on the cob in it. Not sure why I waited so long. But seriously so happy I finally made it in my pressure cooker. Why?
Because not only is it the easiest method, but it is the quickest. It literally takes under five minutes to steam corn on the cob in the instant pot. Plus, the corn comes out so juicy. It simply is the perfect way to cook corn on the cob. Plus, the instant pot seriously is the best indoor cooking appliance to use during the warm summer months for all sorts of summer foods, such as ribs or pulled pork.
But back to the corn though. Of course, I serve butter and salt on the side for our corn. Easy peasy and again simply perfection every time.
How about it? Do you want to make corn on the cob fast and easy now?

YUMMY! I LOVE CORN! Hehe. And that’s super easy! It’s kind of like putting a sweet potato in the slow cooker. Basically you turn it on and put them in for five hours and they’re done! lol
I love easy stuff. I’ll have to try this sometime. Not so easy but really yummy is grilling corn (but lots more steps involved, lol).
I hope you have a fantastic Monday!! I am finishing up coursework and compiling my portfolio this week. I hope to get a blog post out tomorrow…lol.
Sending you big hugs and wishes for a fantastic week! xo

Wow, who knew!? I microwave (steam) mine with the wet paper towel but that once piece at a time in 3 minute increments. This is much quicker. Thanks for the tip.

We don’t have an Instant Pot but that can be remedied easily. Corn on the cob is one of my kids’ favorites. Sometimes that’s all they want for dinner! They’ll eat other stuff but it’s more like an after thought. Corn is right above dessert!!
Janine says
Omg, corn is most definitely right above dessert here and you so need an instant pot, too 🙂

Looks easy. I also put corn with the husk on in the microwave for 3 minutes. It comes out perfectly.

I have the power cooker plus, but it didn’t come with a steamer basket. But, I do make 4 minute corn on the cob. Leave the husks on, place in glass ( microwave dish) microwave on high, cut the end off and the husk and silk pulls off . taa daa. But now I want to try it your way ( wink) xox
Janine says
May have to try your way, too now!! xoxo 🙂

Another brilliant idea, Janine! We have yet to get corn and my gosh, it’s a family favorite! This is the best way to cook it, because of the time issue. Thank you for the idea!
