I've been doing more in Instagram lately too! I know it's important but you know how it is – so hard to give our all to any one thing (other than blogging). FB, twitter, Instagram, Pinterest..klout, sverve…etc.
And I enrolled Scarlet in kindergarten this week! It made me feel so weird, which I will be blogging about this week.
And Des had his first cold ever, so he was right there with poor Lily.

Can I say I smiled when I saw we had similar weeks and couldn't love you more now then already do. Seriously, I dropped Emma off to pre-school and wrote about my morning of registering her in Kindergarten and needed to get my feelings out. Such a big step and truly was not lost on me at all either. And so sorry Des was sick too, just so glad that both kids are now better. By the way, you are right on picking one social media site to concentrate other then blogging and Instagram seems to be it for me right now. I love it and can't get enough. It is truly my home away from home now!! Love you and hoping you are having a great weekend so far π xoxo!!!

Stop the presses – you found that nail polish at Marshall's??? I need to get to mine and see if they have any. My hubby wants to see that movie, but I told him that it was one he could see without me π

Sorry that Lily was sick but glad she is doing better!! I haven't seen any of the movies that are nominated for awards – I'm pretty lame like that. Wow, so exciting (and a little sad) to be registering your oldest for kindergarten. I remember all of the emotions of that time.
My recent post A Fun Challenge for March
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Kim and this is the only award nominee (other then Despicable Me and Frozen) that I have seen. And you see the trend 2 out of the 3, I saw because of the kids! But I am totally happy Lily is better now and I know my emotions with registering Emma for kindergarten were truly all over the place and will be sharing them this week for sure.

Aaaand admitting to getting a bootleg? Out loud? I guess your rules are different cos here you'd be done for piracy and fined! Ow!
Janine Huldie says
Thanks so much Lizzi’s and never even thought twice about sharing it was a bootleg. Guess that is a difference here, but still was a good movie and hope you get to see it soon, too π

We're currently in the process of enrolling Lily for elementary school. She's already had her entrance exam and on March 13 we'll have to officially sign her up. I can't believe that my little baby burrito is going to don a school bag and head out to 1st grade (as I will hold yet another baby burrito and pretend that this is not happening). I can't believe all the things they want to have from you, what business of theirs is your utility bills and the property owner's property tax bill? All we need to bring is Lily's birth certificate and the sheet from the exam that proves that she ready for school, along with proof of vaccination. What are they doing with kids of vaccination opponents I wonder.. Not teach them?? Anyways, I'm glad that your Lily is doing better and could even play soccer again π Have a great weekend, Janine!

Stephanie, I seriously cannot believe our babies are this grownup. I am still in shock and have been reeling (and even posting about this on Monday. And as for the taxes and utilities, they want to make sure that we live in the district and this is the way I suppose, but I know they need to see all sorts of proof. Have a great weekend now, too!! π
Dyanne@IWantBacksies says
Aw, poor, sick baby girl! Glad she's better and was able to play soccer. And I love the necklace! So sweet! (It's a good thing your girls have short names, isn't it?) Yay to take out Chinese and haircuts and pretty nails.
Dr. James Dobson said when you are a parent, your primary objective is to work yourself out of a job. So Emma going to kindergarten is a GOOD thing. Remember that.

I like your thinking on working myself out of a job and definitely a new one to me. As for the necklace, I have to be honest and have always been happy that I picked short names, especially as they are learning to write their names, but the necklaces and their names definitely an added perk. Hope you entered the giveaway too for a gift certificate for the Vintage Pearl!! π

OK…. I see that we have made it to March (the Lion month?) and even within shooting distance of DST…. but the cold, it's simply amazing how pervasive it has been this Winter.

NOOOOO!! to Daylight Savings Time. I want to be in denial for two more weeks. *Hit the snooze*
The cut and color look FAB!
I'm a little scared of Wolf, I am behind this year on the Oscar films.
Kindergarten… those were the days. My second son is graduating high school this year. It was only yesterday that I filled out a form like that.
Janine Huldie says
I will admit that I am so excited for daylight saving time and snooze button or not, still rather it be dark when I wake to match my disposition in the morning and stay later at night. But that is just me π

Kindergarten…exciting new phase of life! Our school host "Kindergarten Roundup" right after our spring break in April. As the school nurse, I'm one of the faces who get to greet the incoming youngsters and their parents. Fun evening for all! Best wishes.
Still can't get used to Daylight Savings Time. I live in Indiana and it's only new to us in the past 10 years. Yuck!
Janine Huldie says
Love that you get to meet and greet the new kindergartners as the school nurse and sorry that you only recently had to get used to Daylight Savings time.

Wow time does go by super fast. I know you are excited to get Emma into Kindgergarten! I love that silver nail polish. It's pretty π Poor Lily. I'm so glad she's feeling back to her silly, awesome self again. Off the top of my head, I can't remember that movie Wolf Street. I bet if I google it and see the preview I will be able to remember π I haven't eaten Chinese takeout in forever but yours looks yummy. You might have given me an idea to duplicate that at home lol. It has so many yummy looking veggies I'd love to eat with some beef or chicken!

Glad Lily is better. Other than that, sounds like nice things happened for you. I need to catch up on all of the movies nominated….I can't bring myself to see "12 years a Slave" – I would get too upset. Hope this week is a good one and everyone stays well. Love, Aunt Gloria
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Aunt Gloria and so am I. As for the movies, I have only seen the one I mentioned here, Frozen (of course because of the girls) and not much else.
