Right about now, I have the Disney and Mickey Mouse post-vacation blues. Add into the mix that upon returning home, I ended up at urgent care fearing Strep Throat. Thankfully, I supposedly didn’t have strep according to the rapid strep test results. But I would have sworn I had it as my throat felt like it was on fire. But now, I am indeed home, slowly readjusting to post-Disney vacation reality, as well as recuperating from whatever illness I brought back with me.
Disney Christmas is the Best
But back to Disney, Christmas, and Mickey Mouse. I have made it no secret how much I love Disney at Christmas-time. We have attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for the last three years now.
This year, thanks, to my very dear blogging friend, we got to attend the party twice over. See, I goofed and waited too long to purchase our Christmas Party tickets. I was able to get the Friday night for our first day there. But I really wanted that Sunday night as we wouldn’t have to rush in from a travel day to stay up late to attend the merriest party of the year. The Sunday night party was sold out to my utter dismay.
When I realized my mistake, I sent an SOS text to my friend. Long story short, sold-out Disney parties are never sold out for the military. Well, my friend did me a huge favor as she is indeed retired-military. Because of her kindness, we not only got to attend Friday night’s party. But also Sunday’s sold-out party.
A Friend Indeed
Plus, we finally got to meet in person. Our girls also got to hang out at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Honestly, I cannot thank my friend enough. Just so grateful and thankful for our friendship.
But back to reality. I am home, under the weather and honestly missing Christmas at Disney. As they say, re-entry is rough on more levels than one. Even though I am home, Disney, Mickey Mouse and Christmas are all still very close to my heart.
I mean Christmas is only about three weeks out now. My home is decorated. Now, it is time for Christmas and holiday treats. I happen to love chocolate bark during the holiday season. Plus, I have made Mickey Bark in the past, but not for the holidays. So, thought why not go ahead and make Mickey Mouse Christmas Bark.
I simply used white, red and green chocolate wafers. Plus, I added Mickey Mouse and Holly Sprinkles to indeed create a more festive chocolate bark.
