Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is already going on but there is still time to purchase your tickets. This is a hugely popular and very fun event that includes trick or treating for kids and gives young and the young at heart a chance to dress up for Halloween. The Magic Kingdom shuts down early on select nights from mid-August to November 1 to reopen for the event. Here is what to expect at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019.
New Offerings at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Here is what is new coming to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019.
NEW Fireworks!
This is super exciting news because the Fireworks show has been great, but it’s been around for a while and I can’t wait to see what the new state of the art projections and lasers will add to story elements in the new show. Concept art shows Cinderella Castle transformed into a chillingly mysterious and possibly haunted chateau.

Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” hosts the new “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show at Magic Kingdom Park. This spellbinding display of state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting, and dazzling fireworks will delight guests during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a separately ticketed event held on select nights Aug. 16-Nov. 1, 2019, at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Cruella’s Halloween Hideaway
Mingle with De Vil at her frightfully ironic (or downright sinister) location in Town Square. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant will be host to a parade viewing party that includes a reserved viewing area, a buffet of samplers, appetizers, and desserts, and of course Cruella herself in the fur.
Returning Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Favorites
These staples of the event are returning for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019:
Hocus Pocus
The Sanderson Sisters are at it again with a villainous Musical Review on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. This popular show will take place multiple times each night of the event and is exclusive to MNSSHP.

The mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” return to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park to throw a wickedly fun celebration during Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. Held on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt stage, the show features favorite Disney villains including Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent, along with dancers, projections and special effects. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed evening that also includes trick-or-treating, greetings with characters in Halloween costumes, the Happy HalloWishes fireworks display and more. Boo to You
The popular Parade, Boo to You returns in all of its frightfully fun spectacle and sound. The parade features Disney Characters dressed up for Halloween and dancing Haunted Mansion ghouls. The Parade is kicked off by a galloping Headless Horseman.

A cavalcade of characters stream down Main Street, U.S.A. in Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park. The parade includes Disney characters in Halloween regalia and the ghostly inhabitants of The Haunted Mansion. The specially ticketed evening includes trick-or-treating, greetings with favorite characters in Halloween costumes, “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks display and more. Disney Junior Dance Party
In Dumbo’s Storybook Circus there is a dance party that will be returning this year for fans of Doc McStuffins and other Disney Junior favorites. The character dance party will also feature Vampirina, of course.

Vampirina makes her debut at the Walt Disney World Resort as part of the Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam that takes place during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park. Vampirina joins Doc McStuffins and Timon from “The Lion Guard” for the special dance party, which is one of many fun experiences that happen during the specially ticketed nighttime Halloween party. Partygoers can also enjoy trick-or-treating, greetings with favorite characters in Halloween costumes, the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks display and “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.” Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place select nights Aug. 17-Oct. 31 at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Attraction Enhancements
Last year Disney enhanced some of their attractions for Halloween. Pirates of the Caribbean got a live-action twist and an interactive game, Space Mountain got a spookier treatment, and even the Mad Tea Party took on a whole new character with festive Halloween lighting. Although details have not yet been announced. There will be attraction enhancements this year that may be the same as in 2018, or completely new!
Costume Promenade
Trick or treating trails are located around the park and will be returning for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2019, but the Costume Promenade in Frontierland is a returning event that will take place before the parade. In this fun reshow experience, kids can show off their costumes for candy.

This is awesome! We are actually thinking of hitting the Disney version of this. Fingers crossed. Schedules might be crazy, so we might have to push it to next year. I have a little girl who would just die to meet Vampirina 🙂
Janine says
Aw, Jen happy to share with you, too and hope your girl can meet Vampira very soon now 🙂

Oooh, Jack Skellington! Love! This is such a dream of ours. I know this year probably won’t be the year, and it’s hard for us to go at any point during when we do go, which is when it is not very crowded and not hot at all. But we would make an exception because it’s our favorite holiday!
Janine says
We actually met Jack & Sally last year at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and highly recommend that experience for either this party or the Christmas Party or both as it was one of the most fun we have gotten to do for sure!!! 🙂
