Another year has flown by insanely quickly. Plus, it is almost the holiday season yet again! If any place knows how to do the holiday right, it is Walt Disney World. The entire park completely transforms into a Winter Wonderland. Also, you wouldn’t believe how much Christmas decor is all around you. Every year, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party on specific dates in November and December.
The Christmas Party has exclusive shows, fireworks, merchandise, and even treats and food! Trust me, as we enjoyed Mickey’s Very Christmas Party for the first time last year.
Plus, we are headed back to Walt Disney World next month to take part in this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, too!

The 7 Most Magical Tips for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
1. Plan Early
If you intend on attending the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party I would get your tickets as soon as possible. Why? Because it is an event in which you need a specific ticket, starting at $105 each. These tickets are limited. Plus, they go quick. So, I would highly recommend purchasing in advance if at all possible. EZ Dis Instant Travel Specialists can help to book this special ticketed event and more.
2. Come Early
Although the party doesn’t start until 7:00 PM guests can enter the park as early as 4:00 PM. I would highly recommend getting there as early as you can. See I know personally. For this reason, we got to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party much earlier than the start time of 7 pm. We plan on doing the same this year, as well.
3. Don’t Miss the Special Events
During the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, there are special events that only take place during the actual party. For starters, Jungle Cruise turns into Jingle Cruise. So, they make things more festive and merry throughout the whole ride. Not all attractions are open during the party but I would definitely recommend not missing out on the Jingle Cruise during your holiday party experience.
Plus, it snows on Main Street. There is also a Christmas Party fireworks show, as well as a party themed parade. There are even special characters, such as the princesses with her princes only out during this Christmas party. These characters are available for photos and autographs.
4. Grab a Complimentary Snack
You can find complimentary apple slices and apple juice at cookie and cocoa stations. This food offering is another excellent way to make the most of your money and get yourself a healthy snack for you and the kiddos.
But you can also get special holiday cookies, snowman pretzels, hot cocoa, apple cider and snow cones for your sweet tooth, as well. All of these snacks are FREE and included in the price of your party ticket.
5. Meet Santa
You can’t possibly attend the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party without meeting Santa Claus! You can find him in front of the Candy Cane Garden. Here you can also take a picture for a lasting memory. The Candy Cane Garden is iconic, and it does make for a beautiful photo for a memento of your trip!
6. Get a Piece of Exclusivity
As I stated before the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has exclusive merchandise, souvenirs, and food! I would highly recommend making sure you get your hands on some of this exclusive merch! You can find ornaments, pins, and all sorts of other pieces that are solely exclusive to the party.
7. Dress for the Occasion
After all, it is a Christmas themed party. Even Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater is dressed for the occasion!
So, wearing some holiday cheer goes a long way. Whether you wear a holiday-themed sweater or shirt or even a Santa hat, you can’t go wrong.
So what are you waiting for?
The Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a phenomenal experience. If you are thinking about making the Christmas season extra special this year, I would recommend making a trip to the party. It is a bit more on the expensive side, but with all the added bells and whistles at the party, I think it is well worth the cost. I hope these tips make your experience as unique as it has for our family.

Graham Rand says
I hope my family and I can see WDW during Christmas time for ourselves someday, I’ve always thought it looks so amazing. Plus I’d definitely take the colder temps and snow over stifling heat and humidity we had when we went in September! I’m not that big of a wimp when it comes to heat, I swear, but that Florida heat was killin’ me.
Janine says
Graham, you’d love the weather in late November and December. When we were there the high temperatures were in the high 70s and lows 55-60. So perfect moderate temps. And the snow on Main Street is fun, too.
