Even though it is indeed over with us taking our Christmas decorations down yesterday.
Still, you didn’t think the celebrations would end after Christmas here, did you?
And what better way to ring in the New Year than with a festive party and a little competition among friends?
[Tweet “Best #NewYearsEve Party Games”]
Tiny Prints did it again and released a second fun holiday party games generator (which I couldn’t resist sharing more now as we all know how much my family and I love playing games).
This time centered around New Years Eve Partying and games specifically for this fun, festive holiday. This party games generator features similar functionality as their Christmas games version—but it’s packed with completely different activities!
Some of my favorite filters are trivia games and current events, both great options to reminisce about 2014 and get excited for the New Year.
Hosting a New Years party with a diverse guest list?
Get everyone comfortable by using the icebreakers selection with games like Guess the Resolution and Best New Years Eve party. See for yourself on the Tiny Prints website and let us know which ones are your favorite!
Still hung up on how to ring in New Years Eve?
Click on the image below to get more ideas from Tiny Prints!!!
Here are some more New Years Eve party ideas from the Tiny Prints team:
For foodies: try a dinner potluck with a winter theme, like comfort food or soups & stews.
For the glamorous: bring the sophistication with a black tie formal affair.
For you and your besties: relax with a casual, BYOB get together over board games.
For those with patient neighbors: turn down the lights, turn up the stereo and get down.
But whatever, I hope you spend New Years Eve with those you love…
So tell me how you are planning to ring in New Years?
Do you have any party ideas to share with me?
Robin (Masshole Mommy) says
I think Chris and I are going to be kid free this NYE and do you know what we have planned? Going to bed early LOL.
Jhanis says
We are going to celebrate it like the previous years! Make the kids go to sleep early then wake them up at 12mn for the media noche. 🙂 The kids always complain why they have to sleep. They want to stay awake for the fireworks. LOL
Leah says
Such great ideas! We don’t have our kids this year and they are disappointed (as are we) so we are having our usual NYE friends over and ringing in the new year the night before! So will try some of these games! On actual NYE- it will be just Rob and me so dinner, movie, quiet reminiscing:) Happy New Year to you!! Xo
Seana Turner says
We always play a game where everyone present guesses a few things (e.g. the stock market closet at the end of the year, and makes a couple of resolutions. Each year we look back at the previous year and declare a “winner” (no prizes, just fun!)
Nellie @ Brooklyn Active Mama says
This looks like so much fun–not even just for New Years but year round!! I can totally use this at barbecues and other fun events!! Thanks for introducing me 🙂
Jennifer | The Deliberate Mom says
Is it weird to say I have NO idea what we’re doing New Years… other than maybe making homemade Chinese food?!
Usually we celebrate with my parents but we wanted to host this year since we decided we don’t want to keep the kids up late (they’re still recovering from their colds). My parents decided to just come for the afternoon. So New Year’s eve will be at home with just us and maybe my brother-in-law if he decides to join us. We’ll probably play a few games (thanks for sharing by the way), and we’ll definitely eat — lots!
Wishing you well & Happy NEW YEAR!
xoxo
Joy @ Yesterfood says
These are great- thank you Janine and Tiny Prints! 🙂 Happy New Year to you and your family, Janine!
Bill says
I hate to be a wet blanket, but we don’t celebrate New Year’s Even. It will just be another night for us. Probably watch a movie and go to bed early. 🙂 But Happy New Year to you and your family, Janine. 2015 is going to be a successful year for us both.
Echo says
Great game ideas! It will be us and the kids on New Years, so I’m sure party hats and noise makers are on the agenda.
Jen says
We are going to have a quiet night at home, with smores and a fire. I love the game generator though and think that a few super fun games would be a great add in to our night at home with the kids!
Brittnei says
Wow Janine! I love a lot of.these for all types of get togethers with family and friends! Thanks for sharing such great ideas here with us!
Diane Roark says
Janine,
We too love playing games on New Year’s eve. It is one of the few times during the year when all my kids are home.
Thanks so much for sharing this great idea for new games.
Blessings and have a wonderful New Year’s!!
Diane
Janine says
Aww, again so my pleasure and thank you always Diane for being a great and supportive friend!! Happy New Year to you too again 🙂
Stephanie @ Life, Unexpectedly says
We’re doing the usual thing: spending the evening with friends of ours, eating buffet-style food all night while the kids play 🙂 It’s been like that the last three years as well, and I don’t even make othe rplans any more 🙂
Janine says
I actually remembered that you did dobthat when I read your comment and love that I have been reading/following your blog and friends with you now to know that about you and your family 😉
Janine says
Aw, thank you Christy. Couldn’t agree more about games and wishing you a very Happy New Year and only the best in 2015 😉
The Pinterested Parent says
I love game nights. They are so much fun. We are having a quiet New Year’s with friends. Some of our best friends luckily had children that have become our daughter’s best friends. We are cooking up some lobsters & steak and letting the kids play while the adults do too.
Janine says
Sounds like a perfect night and hoping you all enjoy 😉
Cynthia says
Your post reminds me of that “Cards for Humanity” game – you sort of “choose an ending.” It’s NSFW but it’s supposed to be really fun for the over 18 crowd.
Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful, WONDERFUL New Year! Here’s to many more, my friend! xox
Janine says
Aww, thank you. Does sound a bot like that and totally wishing you, too a very wonderful and Happy New Year, as well 😉
lisacng @ expandng.com says
So great that they have all these different themed games. I know I’ll just be vegging on the couch come New Year’s Eve :).
Janine says
Right anout now, I think I will be vegging, too as I am fighting off a virus sadly now. Just hoping, I feel better soon now.
Kim says
We took down decorations at our venue yesterday but won’t take down our home ones until next week. I like them up for our NYE party and then don’t want to do it over the weekend:)
Janine says
Kim, normally I wait until way after New Year’s but we are having new floors put in, so in preparation we had to do this unfortunately.
Caralyn @ glutenfreehappytummy says
what great ideas! sounds like a lot of fun!
Janine says
Aww thanks Caralyn! Hope you get to try these party ideas out now 😉
Tamara says
Oooh! I like the guessing resolutions part. Everyone would guess mine – seeing more MOOSE!
We’re doing a foodie theme, actually. We always do. And I’m the only non-foodie of the bunch so I get stuck making a non-dairy dessert. Boo!
Janine says
Aww total boo and I usually make all appetizer foods, but truly couldn’t go to the store to shop the way I am feeling. So, I haven’t a clue what we will be eating sadly.
Ginny Marie says
We haven’t celebrated Christmas with my side of the family yet, so that is what we will be doing on New Year’s. I don’t have my Christmas decorations put away yet!
Janine says
Oh man I am jealous and wish we still had our decorations up!

Janine,
Thank you for all these great game ideas. I checked them out on Tiny Prints. I love seeing ideas that other people do. We must be boring. We play our basic HEADUP games mostly Disney, cards, etc.
Thank you again for sharing!
Have a WONDERFUL NEW YER!!
