PayAnywhere – New Alternative For Online Businesses Accepting Credit Card Payments

Filed Under: BLOG, Sponsored Posts Tagged With: Business Owners, Online Business, Online Credit Card Payments, PayAnywhere

*This post is brought to you by PayAnywhere and Mommy Hot Spot as a paid sponsored post, but all opinions are expressly my own.*

I am completely honest here that I do work online daily between blogging and J9 Designs making money from both.

So these ventures have truly afforded me getting paid through electronic means from the onset.

I have, for the most part, used PayPal to get said electronic payments.

But I will admit as easy as PayPal can be in sending and receiving payments.  Most times you get charged to do both kinds of transactions, with the transaction fee being 2.9% plus 30 cents plus transaction.

It is truly a bummer to make money and yet have to still have a portion of your payment held and taken out by them, but that is the name of the game when you get paid by such means.

Recently, I was asked if I would test drive a new app, called PayAnywhere for both iTunes and GooglePlay that would allow me to receive credit card payments online with the lowest transaction rate in the industry with a 2.69% fee.

Still, you get charged, but definitely a little less then with PayPal.  But wasn’t not sure how it worked and if I would be sold on this app to be quite honest.

The thing is I am truly used to using PayPal and have used it for years (change can be hard for me), but yet I was interested in seeing how to use PayAnywhere and see if it was worth switching or at least using for some of my payments, because even though many people do use Paypal, still some (believe it or not) don’t have an account or may not have funds added to pay you, so using a credit card directly without dealing with PayPal might be an incentive to many out there when doing business with me.

Simple To Signup for PayAnywhere!

So, with this in mind, I took to setting up an account.  Believe it or not, setting up was actually fairly easy and thought at first I would have trouble, because when I looked online on my laptop at the website, it was asking for a merchant ID number and definitely knew I didn’t have one.  But then I went into the actual app on my iPad and signed up for a new account.  It took about an hour to be approved and once I was approved, I was all set to go to process my very first transaction.

Inputting a Custom Sale

By the way, as I was reading the in app reviews, I read some complaints about not being able to login and get errors.  I will tell you I got these errors indeed in the app until I was approved and once I was indeed approved I logged in perfectly, set up a pin never to see this error message again.  So, I would advise that you wait to be approved before panicking on a similar issue.

Also, this app can be used virtually anywhere and the customer service was truly very helpful when I wanted to verify this.  I called after setting up the account to make sure that in my line of work not coming into physical contact with my customers that I would be still be able to use this service.

See my business again is online, so I would not be using a physical credit card reader (that attaches to your iPad, tablet, iPhone or Android based phone) to process orders, but just importing a custom item sale (for services rendered, such a blog designs, advertising or more).  Once I input the actual service item, then I was prompted to input the credit card information and sign for it.  Checking out a customer seriously is as easy as hitting enter to accept the payment.

Making A Sale for Your Business

Simply put, PayAnywhere lets you pay-as-you-go, with no monthly minimums or monthly fees. When you swipe, you’ll get your money faster – your funds are deposited within 1 business day into your bank account that you link up to your account when setting up the account itself.

Bottom line, will I be using this service in the future?

Yes, I will.  Not that I will stop using Paypal, but it is definitely a worthy service to use for processing payments online if you are do perform services, such as blog designs, advertising and even if you run any sort of online business.

So, I do highly recommend this to all business owners out there who are looking for a way to process credit card payments for a very low transaction rate/fee.

Happy Selling to all!

Thank you again to Mommy Hot Spot for giving me this wonderful opportunity, too

It always bugged me that Paypal took such a large percentage! This is a great option.

I know Robin, they really get a nice cut and have been the only game on the block so to speak, but this does give us options if nothing else 🙂

I despise that Paypal gets a cut… but I get it I cannot be greedy.
I've seen PayAnywhere advertised, it's seems like a good option for small business owners 🙂 I'm not there quite yet.
However, something to mosdef consider for the future.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Janine,

In November, I went to a Christmas Show where vendors were selling everything Christmas related. It seemed like every vendor had a card reader on their IPAD or phone. They were even able to send me a receipt to my e-mail. I bet they were using Pay Anywhere.

It was super easy to use and really handy. Thanks for the information.
    Blessings,

I too am a loyal PayPal user, but I could see how an app like this might be good for someone like you who does a lot of business online. I generally use my PayPal to make payments to others. I'm hoping one day to be RECEIVING more than I pay out! 🙂
