*This is a sponsored post for BooksTo.Me. I was graciously given a 3 month subscription to try their service out. No other compensation was received and the opinion here are solely my own.*
Many times on here, I wish I could easily share photos of myself as a kid with you.
My shares are limited, because quite simply the digital age was not around back when I was young. I was born in the late 1970s, was a kid in the 1980s and was a teen/college age in the 1990s.
My mom always made sure to take pictures of my brother and I during this time.
We have tons of photo books from this time.
But guess what?
These photo books are hidden in the back of my parents’ attic in their house.
Yet, these albums house a treasure trove of photos from a different time, but still were put together with love (my mom’s) and were to indeed store our most precious moments and memories. Thankfully, if we have the opportunity to some spring cleaning, we still very much have those albums (just a matter of getting our hands back on them).
For that is what a photo album’s purpose. Back then, once you printed the photos, you had no other way to truly save your photos except to put them in a book. There was also no way of sharing these photos digitally or virtually to friend and family all over the globe. And yet, I remember as I was growing up loving looking back at these photos to see days gone by and see how much we had indeed grown over the years.
Nowadays, we have all sorts of way to share our memories online, including Instagram (which most on here now I love to use pretty much daily). I, myself, use Instagram pretty much daily, but am not as good with doing actual physical photo albums for my family.
But how can I (or anyone else for that matter) get my photos off of Instagram and indeed create my own physical photo album?
That is where BooksTo.Me comes in for all one’s photo album needs.
- Once you are on Instagram and sharing your photos, you can signup for a subscription at BookTo.Me.
- They offer two subscription options, which are as follows: monthly plan, which is $24 every month; or quarterly plan, which is $44 for every 3 months.
- Each monthly BooksTo.Me Photo Albums can hold up to 200 photos in a 50-page book. And the Quarterly subscription book can hold up 230 photos!
- And yet, I know it may sound like a lot of money still to some, but many other online companies charge up to $19.99 and you have to actually take the time to create the actual album, here you setup your account and can have the album created all by BooksTo.Me without having to do much more then upload your photos to Instagram.
But what if you don’t want a photo to be included?
Just add the hashtag #nobtm to that photo on Instagram and they will skip right over it and leave it out of your book.
The process is seriously that easy and as soon as I signed up to try this service, I received my first book in under a week’s time.
And the actual book was absolutely gorgeous with a hand made black cover and wrapped with a simple book jacket with my top liked images on Neenah Classic Crest Smooth Digital 100# Text paper. The paper is FSC, Carbon Neutral Plus, and Green-e certified. This allows them to provide you with bright, crisp images on pages that feel great to flip through, all while minimizing our carbon footprint.
So what are you waiting for?
If you are on Instagram, you connect with me here and BooksTo.Me here over there, as well. You can also find BooksTo. Me on Facebook, here and myself, too, here.

I remember the days when we had these huge photo album in the house and my mother would bring them out if we had visitors! I have to admit, I was so great at documenting my first child's milestones, I have this baby album complete with captions but when the little girl came along, most of her photos are on facebook/, on the phone or saved in the computer. I really need to have them printed out or else she will wonder when she grows up why there's no album for her! LOL
Janine Huldie says
I know the feeling and trying to be better about this now Jhanis. Seriously, I have a ton of photos and stopped somewhere along the line to print them. So, am hoping this will force me to do that now π

I’ll have to check this out as soon as I get 200 pictures to print. Love the idea! Especially since Instagram doesn’t let you save the photos that easily. This service is pretty cool! I also need to learn to take better pictures.
Janine Huldie says
I hope you can try this out soon and I know seriously Instagram does make it hard to get your pictures from them. And I too am learning how to take better pictures as I go now π

I love that this process sounds so effortless, and that you get a real book to hold in your hands. And the hashtag to make sure a photo is not included is very very cool. How are people so smart? This is so over my head!!

Just this weekend I was fussing at my dad because he didn't want to let me have the photo albums from so many years ago so that I can start digitizing them before they fall apart. And now, you've made me realize I need to do the opposite with my photos, lol. Truly, I have been pondering what to do with all those Instagram pics, and this seems like a fairly reasonable deal. Thanks for the heads up!

It's so brilliant, and it would make me kick up the Instagram photos a bit.
My parents took so many photos of me but to see them, they either have to scan them or I have to be at their house looking at old albums.
Our kids will have it SO differently.

I was just looking through my mother's photo album from when she was young the other day. OK, I admit that I was missing her just a bit. Anywho, the service is a little pricey but a good idea for the make up artist I see on Instagram. It's a great way to post and create an offline portfolio of sorts.
Btw, I'm really starting to wonder how close we are in age. LOL!
