Talk about cutting it close with my Happy Pumpkin Picking Halloween Wonderful Wednesday share from Miss Emma, but still here I am putting this article together on Tuesday only a few hours before I need to get the article posted for the Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop.
See, as most who read and follow my blog know, I was out for most of this sunny Monday enjoying Emma’s class trip to our local farm (yes Eli is was perfect and thank god for the postponement for much nicer day for sure), which we actually had taken the girls pumpkin picking at this same farm for the first time back when Lily wasn’t even a year old.
Three Years Ago Halloween Pumpkin Picking…
Here is the thing, I know the girls are growing up, but still looking back on photos from that day of pumpkin picking, I still can’t believe how much (I say this a lot lately, but still this picture made so nostalgic for earlier crazy baby days with my girls).
Lily was not even a toddler (barely a year old), let alone the little girl she is now.
And Emma was finally having her hair grow in (yes she will always be my baldy baby, who was still bald at almost 18 months old!).
Yesterday Halloween Pumpkin Picking…
But still, yesterday’s pumpkin picking trip reminded me that the girls, Emma especially being in Kindergarten is growing up right before my very eyes.
She still young enough that she wanted to sit with me on the bus trip to go pumpkin picking, as well as hold my hand at the farm and also not too embarrassed by being seen with her mom yet.
Trust me, I know that day will most likely come, but happy that as much as she is growing she still needs and wants me.
And she is still innocent and sweet enough that all she comes into contact with just adores her for it.
Ironically enough, I was conversing with on of my very dear bloggy friends, Tamara, yesterday after the trip about this and she definitely made me realize this and so much more about this.
By the way, as tired as Emma was from her long day out pumpkin picking and so much more, she still had time to decorate her newest pumpkin picking addition (yes we got other pumpkins from our recent Hicks trip), as well as all the pumpkins we have gotten this past Fall season with stickers (her idea) with funny face.
She even told us to take a quick video to wish all Happy Halloween with the decorated pumpkins.

So, here is Emma wishing you all a very, Happy Halloween!

You are smart to just savor every minute! One of my girls is on her own, and the other is so busy she no longer has time to carve/ decorate pumpkins

We were just talking about those trips to the pumpkin farm on our run the other morning. I miss them. They were so much fun. My kids aren’t interested anymore. 🙁 My youngest is even debating whether he wants to go trick or treating, which makes me kind of sad. My middle child is having a Harry Potter movie marathon party.
Thanks for the party too…all linked up! 🙂

Wow, look at all those pumpkins! It’s amazing how much they grow and change in such a short period of time. The other night I was thinking about how Eve looked when she was a month old, and I couldn’t believe how different she looks now!

That video is super sweet and that was a mighty big pumpkin! It is so very hard to see our babies grow up. On one hand I get such joy Stu of each stage and new growth milestone reached, but seeing old pictures always makes me miss the preceding stages.

Just so you know: Girls who were bald at 18 months turn out to be pretty beautiful women!! I speak from personal experience! LOL!

Awww!! Happy Halloween to Emma!
We had our parent teacher conference last night and the teacher used the words “sweet” and “innocent.” And I discussed with the teacher and some other parents about some mean girls that already are there.
Sigh.
I blame their parents.
Love you!
Camille says
Aww, super cute video!!

Oh my goodness. You all with 400 linkups is just crazy! Emma and Lily were so cute! We still haven’t taken JR pumpkin picking or apple picking just yet. I found this farm though not too far from us and I think I might be able to go maybe in December. Not sure what we grow here in AZ during that time, but I know we can basically grow things year round. So we’ll see!
Celeste @Leapfrog and Lipgloss says
That video is totally adorable. Holy pumpkins! 🙂

Oh my goodness. They have changed so much. It is crazy. I was looking back at old photos today too & it seems like some of the photos are a lifetime ago. Your girls are just darling that much has not changed. Happy Halloween lovely ladies.

I really hope we have a Pumpkin farm like that in my place. As far as I know, we don’t grow that here. We only have squash! Haha. 😀 But still your photos are so cute!
