How was it almost a year ago that I was in Walt Disney World for a solo business-related trip?
And now, we have been on home arrest for the past month or so with the Corona Virus being front and central all over the country now. From the looks of it, we are going to be sticking close to home for the time being.
But it doesn’t stop me from Disney World dreaming whenever I can. Moreover, we have two Disney World trips planned this year. One in the summer and the other in the late fall. Yet, I am honestly not sure if those trips will indeed take place. Because those trips are also quite frankly up in the air until we know more.
Still back to last year’s solo trip.
That trip was a blast. It was a first for many things for me, including traveling sans family. As for that Disney trip, it was the first time I ever I was guided on a VIP Tour, celebrated Hollywood Studios 30th anniversary, and even dined with an Imagineer at the Hollywood Brown Derby.
So many great times were indeed had. But if I had to pick my favorite moment from that trip, it wouldn’t be easy. But I eating breakfast with Rapunzel at the Bon Voyage Breakfast was on the top of my list. My favorite princess up to that point was Cinderella. I still have a special spot for Cinderella. But after that breakfast experience with Rapunzel, I have a new favorite princess. She honestly shined and when I got to meet her it was one of the best character meet and greets I have ever done so far. Needless to say, I won’t be forgetting that breakfast nor Rapunzel anytime soon.
Almost a Year Later.
But to celebrate that it is almost a year to the date from the fateful breakfast, I decided to make cupcakes.
My cupcakes are so colorful with little flower candies to match Rapunzel’s flower clips. Plus, I used purple icing to mimic the color of Rapunzels’ beautifully colored dress. And who can forget Rapunzel’s hair? I piped yellow icing to make it appear as her golden-colored hair is sitting on top of her cupcakes, as well.
