Instructions for You Rock Valentine Painting Craft:

- Cut out the Valentines from the “You Rock” printable.
- Punch a hole in one end of each Valentine.
- Thread a piece of black string or twine through each Valentine, and tie it around each stone.

We’ve done quite a bit of rock painting last year and we still have some rocks left over. We did lady bugs and flowers that I wanted to share, and still might in the spring. This however, is just to cute. I might get Madison to make some this weekend. I’m also glad you included that printable. Thank you.
Janine says
Aw, my pleasure and always happy to share with you. Hope you and Madison can make very soon now, too 🙂

What a great idea! We actually could find small rocks like that in the northeast because the snow has almost melted. My kids would really love to do this. We’ve painted rocks outside in the summer before.
Janine says
Same here Vicki and we have no snow left at this point in NY. So totally am able to collect rocks, too 🙂

Hi Janine!! This is fun to make for Valentine’s Day. It’s also the perfect theme to make for painting and hiding a rock for someone random to find!! My youngest has been loving doing that, and when he found one of his own he was beyond thrilled. 🙂 Happy Valentine’s Day to you (early, but I never get around much anymore with my work…it keeps me overly busy, but I love it). 🙂
Janine says
Aw, so happy to see you stop by here today and wishing you an your family a Happy (early) Valentine’s Day now, too 🙂
Jen says

This combines everything my son loves: rocks, paint and valentine’s! I thought to try cards this year and Franco got totally into it, decorating them and saying who we wanted to give them to. This project is so cute!
Janine says
Aw, hope you can make with Franco real soon now, Catherine 🙂
