*I was provided with the VIIcode Eye Mask to facilitate my review, but all opinions are my own.
In my early twenties, I went to work one day without makeup on, which I never did. There was a method to my madness though.
See, I was wanting to get sent home as I was in need of a day off. I knew my office manager would take one look at my face and think I was ill.
Why was a I do confident of this?
I have had dark circles under both my eyes for as long as I can recall.
They were apparently hereditary and I did a great job throughout my teen year and early twenties to cover them up whenever possible.
But this day, I wasn’t too proud to showcase my dark circles, if it were to get me out of a day’s work with pay nonetheless, because I hadn’t taken a sick day for months and hadn’t had a day off in sometime.
Well, long story short, I did get sent home for my manager took one look at me and indeed took me for ill and took pity on me.
That was a good fifteen or so years ago and I still suffer from dark circles, which have only gotten worse with age, as well as from lack of sleep after having my kids.
I have tried countless products to help conceal my dark circles and also to try to help reduce the effects of them, too.
Recently, I was contacted by VIIcode to try their Oxygen Eye Mask, which is supposed to help with healthy and new cell growth, eliminate puffiness, dark circles, wrinkles, bags and fine lines around the eyes.
Essentially these masks are touted for those who use to enjoy a fresher, younger-looking appearance, smoothing skin, while diminishing under eye circles and wrinkles to help your eyes appear brighter by using ecological plant oxygen extracts which are extracted from natural herbal formula and are alcohol-free being safe for all skin types The recommended usage is 2-3 times a week with three boxes for a course of treatment for best results.
I was very excited, but cautiously optimistic to try these eye mask out for my dark circles and to even help freshen up my eye skin as it is no secret around here that I am closer to 40 than 30 now.
So, I decided to use during a recent weekday workday at home. I figured I was home alone and staying put for a few hours in my home to indeed get writing and more done. As the masks can work continuously for up to 8 hours over night treatment, which as different from other similar products whose effect lasts for a much shorter period. I thought I could get about a good 5 hour stretch out of my first try and just wanted to see how the worked while I was awake instead of fast asleep.
Upon opening the aluminum packaging and extracting the eye mask to get a better look at them, I found them to be a gel-like texture. I, then, applied the masks around the eye gently pressing them to assist the skin in absorbing the nourishment in the masks.
Once this was indeed done, I left them for about 5 hours, while I worked from home here and must share that they were cool all day, they didn’t move, and barely even felt them as the day went on.
When I removed them later that I day, I simply peeled them off and there was no pulling as they came off very easily. My honest opinion after my first initial use was that my skin felt very soft and even pretty tight after removing them as they should after using any type of facial mask.
I would most definitely recommend to those who might have bags, dark circles (like I do) and even wrinkles as I have used about two more times since my initial use above and definitely do see a slight difference so far in my under eye area skin.
