September GLOSSYBOX Unveiling

Filed Under: beauty, Sponsored Posts Tagged With: Affiliates, Beauty, Cosmetics, GlossyBox, Monthly Subscription, September

What is about the end of summer that makes most nostalgic and wanting to carpe diem or seize the day?

As most know, at least for me, their has been a bit of sadness in the air, because I happen to the love the summertime and all that comes with it.  Soon enough though it will be over and the leaves will begin to change, the temperature will have a slight chill to it and everything will go from green to shades of gold.

For me, Fall isn’t the worst, but winter following again not a fan.  So definitely have been feeling shades of blue about what will come in the next few months. However,  I decided to do something just for me after signing up with GLOSSYBOX as an affiliate to cheer me up a bit.  Recently, I volunteered that I placed a 3 month subscription with them  here.

September GlossyBox!!

So, I totally seized the day on that one for sure, because I am so not used to doing anything for myself at of late, because again as most know, we are saving for a house so I have been cutting corners by not spending much on myself since I work at home anyways.

But, I couldn’t resist.  I received the package and it was packed and wrapped so beautifully.

There was a lovely notecard included as well listing the five products (all full sizes) for this month.  As well as, Guess brand makeup bag and a 30% off coupon for Guess, too.

For three months the box, cost me $64.40, but I had a 15% discounted coupon I got to use that they were offering.  So the three months, cost me $55.40 (receiving $9 off).

My Thoughts on the September GLOSSYBOX~

I have to admit, it more then paid for itself already with #2, The Novex Keratin Treatment.  I have been wanting to try a Keratin treatment for awhile and was ecstatic that this was included in the first box.  I have used it already and loved it.  Also, #5 is amazing and love the Sue Devitt Pressed Powder really does finish off and even your skin tone once you have applied all your other makeup.  I am using it to keep my makeup in place and it has been working like a charm.

The Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush (#3) is a bit on the red side for me. I usually just use clear lip gloss or Burt’s Bee’s Chapstick.  But once I blotted it, I actually really liked it and gave just the right amount of shading to my lips.  And last but not least, Pandora’s Nail Polish #4, I have yet to use, but am excited to try very soon, because looks like a fun color to me, but will definitely go with two shades, because I would rather it be opaque, not transparent.

Well, that is it for the September GLOSSYBOX, but promise to return with October’s Box next month to share more beauty products when it arrives.  And maybe you too will try this, because it really made my day and if you are into beauty products at all, think you would love this, too.  Click the banner in my right sidebar or right below for more information now.

I get my hair Japanese straightened but have been curious if the at home Brazilian keratin treatments work. I used to buy pressed powder sheets from The Body Shop to use in the summer when I might be shiny. Good idea to help it keep your makeup in place.

Sara, I always wanted to my hair professionally straightened, but just couldn't afford it. But I tell you if I had the money that would probably be the first thing I do. And yet I am thankful for the at home treatment at the very least now!! 🙂

I get keratin done at the salon and it costs A LOT more than the bottle of stuff they sent you LOL. It's totally worth it, though. I have very naturally curly hair and with the keratin – you'd never know.

I really want to get a Keratin treatment done at the salon, but like you said it is expensive and just can't afford that right now. So, this is seriously a godsend and will use every last drop of it!! 🙂

I'm feeling the melancholy big time today. I'm just so nervous about this wedding that it's affecting my overall demeanor. I feel stressed and achy and annoyed and sad because Cassidy is away for three days.
I want some pampering! Looks like lovely stuff.

hi janine, i was walking around nyc with my husband yesterday and passed by the birch box office. i told my husband the whole concept and he said, "i think you should do it. it would be a nice treat for you to get something in the mail." he is such a nice hubby! anyhow, it was more the point of how successful the subscription business is. this sounds like a similar concept. and i definitely agree that you get more product than what you pay!

    • Janine Huldie says

      September 14, 2013 at 10:35 am

Ok that is so sweet and definitely sounds like you have a wonderful husband Catherine. I know I was hearing so much about GlossyBox and Birch Box and really wanted to try one of them, because the concept sounded like fun to me (always been into beauty and fashion). Then I became an affiliate for GlossyBox and that kind of sealed the deal for me. Just actually used this month’s nail polish inclusion on my toes this morning. And so hoping you are enjoying NYC and can’t wait to hear all about it on your blog when you get home now 🙂
