Almost 13 years ago, I fell in love with Artichoke cheese dip. See one of my husband’s aunts made this dip at a family gathering. It was such a hit; I had to ask her for her recipe.
She kindly printed up her recipe. I made it numerous times over the years. It is delicious and a hit for the most part. But my husband and a few others in our family and even some friends tend to like a bit spicer kick to this original recipe.
How do I handle this?
So, I add TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce. TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce is the perfect addition to this classic artichoke cheese dip recipe. See TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce is the perfect ingredient to enhance the original flavors of this artichoke cheese dip without overpowering this appetizer dish.
Moreover, TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce contains ONLY 3 simple ingredients, which are as follows: aged red peppers, salt, and distilled vinegar. Plus, it is Non-GMO, Gluten-free and has zero calories.
Plus, for anyone who still needs a further kick, I always have extra TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce on hand to add to their serving if need be. Furthermore, TABASCO® Brand comes in a variety of flavors and has something for everyone!
So I not only buy the original flavor, but I also have gotten in the past the TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce and also TABASCO® Green Jalapeño Sauce. TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce contains smoke-dried jalapeno peppers; this sauce brings a rich balance of smoke and heat, too. TABASCO® Green Jalapeño Sauce is made with Jalapeño peppers with the perfect blend not being too hot, but also not too mild.
I mean TABASCO® Sauce is the best ingredient to have in your kitchen – always! Plus, it can easily be found at Walmart.
But back to the spicy recipe at hand.
So, let get the heat on and make spicy artichoke cheese dip.

Mr. PIcky Eater (that’s me) doesn’t like artichokes. 🙂 But I do love cheese. Maybe I can compromise with this recipe and leave out the artichokes. 🙂
Happy Monday, Janine! Have a brilliant week.
Janine says
Aw, Bill, if you do try without the artichokes, let me know how it went. And have a wonderful Monday and week ahead now, too!! 🙂

I have a Toastmasters gathering later this week and I think this would be perfect to take! I want to make it the night before. Here’s the clincher. I will have to be at work all day, and won’t have time to run home before the gathering. That means I’ll have to have it with me in the car. Can you eat this cold? I’m not sure how re-heating will work as it’s at someone’s house, but I don’t know this person and I’d feel weird asking to use their stove or microwave. What do you think? I can make something else, but this looks mouth-watering! Hehe.
I hope you have a wonderful week and I’ll let you know how the dip goes (if I can make it and get around the heating issues, hehe)
Janine says
I am not sure how this dip would fair if you left it out. I do know it has cheese and mayo in it. When I made it recently I left it out for about 2 hours and it was fine. But again not sure if you leave it for hours on end. If possible, would you be able to at least refrigerate it during the day? I think if you could do that then it may hold up better. That said, I hope you can try this recipe if not for this get-together soon 🙂

Janine,
Living on the North Shore of New Orleans everyone knows about Avery Island and Tabasco sauce. It is on every table with Cajun seasoning instead of salt and pepper. A little dash makes everything better or my husband would say half the bottle makes everything perfect.
We are definitely Tabasco fans. Your Artichoke Cheese Dip looks fabulous!!
Many Blessings,
Diane

Love the way your husband thinks and thank you once again, Diane!! 🙂

Giving it that kick would be perfection. My sister always makes a dip just like this for the holidays, and I’ve grown to love it. And Cassidy would love the Tabasco.
Janine says
This dip sounds perfect for you all, especially for your sister and Cassidy, too 🙂
