Spring Into April GLOSSYBOX

I know it is now May and April is long behind us, but my April GLOSSYBOX actually didn’t show up until May 2nd!

I know crazy and when I inquired on Instagram to GLOSSYBOX, as I began to see the May GLOSSYBOX (Spoiler alert – Bergdoff Goodman is the theme and getting excited about this), as to why May’s was being promoted when I didn’t even get April’s box, yet another customer informed that this is just the way, but still I very much recall when I first started to subscribe getting my GLOSSYBOX by mid-month the latest.

Anyway, on to the actual box, which was a bit of a let down in my eyes after the April box that was about Alex and Ani, which I shared here.

This month’s GLOSSYBOX featured quite a few Spring items and will totally explain now, why as much as it had some pluses, I felt this one left me just a bit disappointed.  And hoping that the Bergdoff Goodman Box next month makes up for this one.

  • AQUA SPA – Relax Body Creme

I will admit I am tired of getting Body Cremes in each every box.  As much as I liked this one when I tried it, I still would rather not get a body creme in almost every box.  So that to me kind turned me off a bit this product as much as it did what it promoted to do by helping with dry skin issues coming off one of the coldest, driest winters we have had in years.  Still, not to GLOSSYBOX lay off the body cremes for at least one box now.

  • BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS – Super Gloss in Vanilla Pink

This lip gloss is made with natural ingredients and enriched with vitamin E, jojoba, avocado and sunflower waxes.  It is infused with a natural plumper, which helps minimize fine lines on and around the lips.

Very pretty shade of light pink and yes I do love lip glosses more then lip sticks and could see why this was included as it is indeed a spring like color.  Perfect shade for me and definitely am using this one now when I need a bit of shimmer and shine for the season.

  • CALDREA – Body Wash

Not to sound repetitive, I have also been receiving body washes in practically every box and must admit tiring of this a bit, too.  So, as much as I love the Apricot spring fruit scent, I am hoping for not another body wash again next box either.  I have enough of these to last me for at least two more months.  So, maybe just maybe GLOSSYBOX can include something other then body washes and soaps for the next box, as well.

I was excited to get a a fun nail polish shade for the Spring time and kept seeing the picture of all the different polish color choices I could get for the month of April from GLOSSYBOX.  As much as I liked the polish and truly don’t mind getting nail polish in each box unlike the soaps and cremes, nail polish I could never tire of, but the color I got was not really one I would have wanted to try or buy for myself.  The green was just a bit too bright and made me feel like I was wearing lime on my fingers when I was the actual bottle at first.

  • LASPLASH COSMETICS – Eyeshadow Sealer/Base

This product intensifies color and provides extra protection against smears and smudges for flawless 12 hour wear.  Apply a very light coat of the Sealer/Base to the area intended for glitter or shimmer (across entire eyelid and up to the brow bone).  To avoid creasing, use only what is on the wand.

Ok, this one I was truly in love with and totally have been wanting to get a new product to keep my eye makeup in place for the upcoming warmer weather.  So, I tried immediately and so far loving it.  In the end this and the lip gloss were the best parts of the box for me.

Now just hoping the May box will show up sooner rather then later, because like I said excited to see what could be included from Bergdorf Goodman.

    I love lip gloss too. Love it. It's actually an annoying collection habit I have. There is lip gloss hidden in the dark corners of my purses, bags, bathroom drawers—and then I claim I can't find any, after which my husband teases me endlessly. 🙂 Great, honest review!

      Robin, honestly wish I could say the same, but the color does nothing for me and wish I had received a different shade from them. Although some of the other stuff like the lip gloss was definitely better suited for me 🙂

    I wasn't very thrilled with this month either. Although I got a WHITE nail color – which I thought was a little weird. I think I would have liked green better. And I agree – who needs body cream in eVERY package??? Maybe in the winter time. Thanks for your review! And I think you should paint your toes that green! 🙂

      Alexa, thank you for letting me know it was just me. Seriously, I would have switched with you gladly on the polish. That green just does nothing for me sadly. And you said it perfectly about the cream. It is spring almost summer now and would hope for less of the creams and more of products that can get me through this time of the year. Fingers crossed for next month 🙂

      Rosey, I would gladly give it to her and sure she would like it more then I ever did. And I must admit as a teen I too had a ton of polish and nowadays not that far behind again since I started doing my nails again 🙂

    The nail polish looks cute, I wonder if the color is that vibrant on? I'm glad you like the lip gloss but I would be super annoyed it came so late. I hope the next one comes sooner rather than later! xoxo

    I wouldn't want body cremes every month either. Bodywashes, I'm ok with :). Glad you got at least one great product, the primer. I kinda wish there was a customizable glossybox product. You know how StitchFix customizes boxes based on your feedback? There should be a cosmetics thing like that. I'd totally get that!

      Trust me I just couldn’t help, but be honest, but seriously how many body washes can one person indeed have? It its like the old Tootsie Roll commercial, the world my never know with Glossybox! But seriously if you try them, let me know 🙂

      Trust me I am still int he middle of my 6 months from my xmas gift to myself, but after this week and spending over $700 on brakes not sure what I will be affording in the near future myself now.

    I love the lotions and the body wash! Spa feel is very nice to have sometimes! I also love the scent of the essential oils used from a Spa. So relaxing!

    That's crazy that your box came so late! Mine always come very late in the month (around the 25th or so) but I've only gotten one super late. And it was mid-month the next month late! Eeek! It's been awhile since that happened, though, thankfully! The nail polish you got is a pretty shade, but I don't know if I'd wear it either! Maybe a little out of my comfort zone!

      That nail polish shade is totally out of even my comfort zone and I like funky nail polish, but just a bit too bright and green even for me (and I am wearing a dark blue shade right now). As for the timing of the box, I seem to be getting mine closer to the end of the month and just got the May box on May 30th! I didn't renew for June to be honest (probably be sorry, but just taking the month off right now).
