Well, once again Spring is finally here and I thought what better time than now to add to my dating theme article series. I know how hard it can be to make some time to date and continually reconnect with that special someone in your life, especially when you are married with kids, as life truly sometimes has a way of coming in the way of this special and quality alone time.

Still, it is essential to find new ways to connect with your significant other and/or lover to find seasonally appropriate ways to do so.

    In fact, we gardened together yesterday! Although, it was for a project that you will read about on Thursday. Years ago, we stumbled across a winery in our own woods! That was whimsical.
    Walks in the woods, sending the kids off for the weekend, movies, dinner al fresco, ice cream, and sleeping in seem to be our things lately!
    And a Brooklyn hotel this weekend!

    I haven’t flown a kite in a very long time. We have quite a lot of fields here in Colorado so that would be one great way to do it. The only ones we can’t do would be the ones where the beach was involved. We have no beaches unfortunately but maybe going to an island with one would be an idea. 🙂

    I love that your ideas are simple and inexpensive! Sometimes I think I need to go “all out” with the dress-up dinner date, and then we end up not making time for that, either because it’s expensive or difficult to schedule. Thanks for offering these alternatives!

    Ken and I are considering TWO date nights this week, since the kids are gone!! And I’ve learned that much like exercise for me, sex is not something I put a priority on, but once I get started I remember how much I enjoy it and how good it can be for me!

    Car-washing could actually be a fun date. Especially in Carolina, in the springtime. You could even follow it with a quick run and cap it off with s’mores. (There’d have to be a shower there between two and three. We’ll call that 2.5.)

    I can’t wait to do most of these with the Husband and the kids this year. Our wine tasting opportunities are limited these days, but we definitely enjoy outdoor concerts and family walks!
