As the weather is finally getting warmer, I am beginning to think in terms of being able to go outdoors again and finally enjoy activities that don’t include hats, coats and general bundling up for my kids and myself.
Finally, it has been in the 60s here for the past few days and that truly has put this winter grouch in a much better mood.
So, I thought I would look through my pictures for something to indeed show spring and nicer weather. Well, I came across pictures of Emma from Spring 2010. She wasn’t even a year old and we had just taken her to the park for the very first time.
I remember the day pretty well and it was the end of April and almost 85 degrees out. I recall I wore jeans, t-shirt and flip-flops to the park and was sweating, because of how warm it was. I was also around 3 months pregnant with Lily and still in my regular jeans and just waiting for that to change at any point.
That said, we put Emma on the baby swing, where she wasn’t so sure about it, but still was intrigued. And then, I also remember putting her on the slide and holding onto her as I helped her slide down.
The thing is, she is now almost 4 years old and a dare devil at the playground. She has now graduated to the big kid swings and the only slides she loves are the biggest and highest off the ground.
But in these pictures, this was a first and brand new experience for her. Still seriously can’t believe how tiny she was here and how much she has grown in three years. Time does fly!!
Happy Spring from Emma!!

I was walking through the park the other day and had to stop and sit on a bench to watch all the children playing in the playground. Made me miss those days when I'd be there with my boys. Time does fly by so fast. Before you know it your girls will be graduating from high school 🙂 … Boy do I ever sound old lol. Lovely photos as always.
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Susan and I know it sure doe fly, because Emma is a pro on the playground and "Does it all by myself" now. She saw these photos as I was putting them together here and told me that was when she was a baby!! 🙂

So sweet…sometimes I miss those days of taking my kids to the park. My 9-year old still likes to go sometimes, but for the most part my boys are so involved in their sports and activities that they don't even have time to go to the park! Enjoy those park days and spring is finally here!
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Emily and I am trying to enjoy as much of this times in their lives for sure and yay seriously for spring!!! 🙂

I had a bald little girl too – that adorable face hasn't changed!
Janine Huldie says
Thanks Dana and I know Emma has the same face still 🙂

Aww…Emma is too cute! She has so much hair now compared to then, too. It's funny how they change so much in that time. My hair is almost black and yet it was blonde when I was a baby. Haha! Have a wonderful day, Janine. 🙂
Janine Huldie says
Same here with the hair color change. I had a dark blonde and now (my natural color) is medium brown. Thanks Cyndi and still can't believe how quickly she has grown!! 🙂

Cutest photos ever! I was wondering, are your kids watching the Sofia the First series already? We don't have it yet here in S.A. You mentioned on my blog how they love to watch the show. We keep getting the ad that it will be coming soon to our Disney Junior TV channel. Have a great week with great weather!

Thanks Christina. We actually first got Sophia back in November on Disney Jr. My girls love her, because they honestly are princess obsessed so this is right up their little alleys 🙂
