Finally, it is summertime here! Summertime for me means a time to not only take it easy, but also to enjoy all I can during the warmer weather. This includes hanging at home or locally outside, as well as on vacation outdoors.

There are many fun times that I enjoy outdoors with my family.

What kind of fun family summer moments do we enjoy?

For instance, we love to swim in the pool or at the beach when we can.

We also love sitting on our patio listening to music or reading a good book, while our girls play on our backyard playground.

As for summer vacations, we usually go annually to Disney.  We always visit Cinderella’s Castle for starters.

Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom

All of these fun summer moments, have one thing in common family time. But they also often enough include enjoying chilled beverages, such as iced coffee for mom and dad. See these chilled beverages allow my husband and me to enjoy all the summer’s sippable moments.

What is our favorite iced coffee brand?

See, I am a huge fan of Starbucks® brand.

So, I buy Starbucks® coffee roasted coffees to enjoy in the comfort of my own home.

Plus, I usually find Starbucks® coffee roasted coffees at my local Walmart. Also, I make both hot and iced coffee drinks depending upon the season from these blends.

Well, another one of my favorite summertime drinks is Pina Colada. This frappe is my go-to frozen summer drink quite often.

So, I recently decided to make my own Starbucks® Pina Colada Iced Coffee drink at home. I used Starbucks® Veranda Roast Coffee Blend to make this iced coffee drink.

Your family fun sound very similar to my family fun and we will finally get to meet this summer in the place that we both love, Disney. BTW I just LOVE Starbucks and I’m a gold card holder, but this drink my friend is one I WILL be making. I may substitute the pineapple chunks for the smaller diced ones so I can have more on top. I personally use the K-Cups so I’m hoping I will find this one in a K-Cup.

Aw, can’t wait to meet up with you at our favorite place and also so happy to hear you will try this, too 🙂

Sounds like such a delicious summer treat! I’m going to have to try it. This heatwave had me craving all things summery!

I’m a huge Disney fan! We don’t get there every year. It’s probably more like every three, but I wish it were every year.

Summer is finally here but it’s still not hot in Northern California, Oh well, a heat wave is on the way and I can’t wait to slip into my summer clothes. Wow, Annual trips to Disney Land sounds like a dream come true, I’ve never been. I don’t drink lots of iced coffee and when I do it’s always pretty boring, I always tell myself I would rather save those calories for food, BUT this Starbucks Pina Colada would be worth it.

      June 13, 2017 at 12:55 pm

Mary, we are having a heat wave right now and 95 degrees at noon today. Supposed to break tonight, but honestly I have no problem with the heat and hope we get another heat wave soon as the hotter the better for me. Disney is definitely a dream come true and not going to lie to you. And Starbucks, as well as this drink are just little piece of heaven, as well 🙂

Your Pina Colada Iced Coffee looks absolutely yum! Makes me wish I won a coffee maker. 🙂

I’m sad that summer is over (on this side of the world!). It’s my favorite season! We didn’t do anything spectacular this year because, work. Ugh. But we visited our family in Mindanao where Martial Law is in effect. Gave us all mixed emotions being there but we had so much fun bonding with relatives!

Very interesting as summer is literally just beginning here now and didn’t realize that it was almost over in your neck of the woods. But I hear you about work and right now I have been working overtime trying to schedule ahead and such to be able to enjoy more of the summer time ahead, too.

So…it’s my last week working on campus (and then I’m diving into the internetverse again…and substitute teaching while it percolates and takes off)…but this has me wanting to walk over to starbucks and get a green tea latte. Of course, I’ve given that up this month with all my water-drinking, but I also want to try this recipe out. Watch out, July, I’m going to try making this, too! xo
